  1. Its hard to believe Zatecha was just extended a PWO offer now. Perhaps there's more to the offer than we know as speculated in other threads?
  2. Visibly... as in worst looking? My wife would disagree with you.
  3. If we add Dickerson we'd jump up to 225.2 points on 247 and the No. 19 class, just ahead of Ole Miss at 224.5 (with 24 commits).
  4. Nelson and Tannor will get the most snaps - but I think Payne will see increase reps this year. Depending on his spring and fall camp, Cooper may get some reps on 3rd down/situational pass rush. Gunnerson is a year or two away.
  5. I like the thought... but if my understanding of eligibility is right Henrich will be a senior in 2024.
  6. I think the potential is there but he will need a couple years to first get healthy from his hip injury and develop the strength/speed needed at this level.
  7. No the Duck-R position is not dead in Frost's offense. Woodyard and Williams were never recruited to play that position (just look at Williams complaints on twitter he didn't get to play in the slot enough). Alante Brown and Will Nixon will compete for the role this year. The transfer of Robinson was unexpected and likely why no recruit in the class of 21. I think we will see a dip in the positions usage this year and more of an H back with Fidone and Hickmon.
  8. I think Payne and Niko Cooper will make big jumps this coming year as it relates to a possible internal source of pass rush from the olb position.
  9. Not a comment directed at you, but not sure why a transfer WR who is here for 1 year would have any effect on an incoming Fresh... doesn't make sense to me.
  10. With the amount of targeting calls our secondary seems to incur we need all the depth we can get at safety - imo.
  11. X - Betts and Manning Z - Toure and Martin Y - Allen and Vokolek R - Brown/Nixon or H - Fidone / Hickmon I also see Nourelli, Bando, and Hixon battling it out for RG.
  12. Perhaps I'm buying to much into the recent transfer additions, but I think the 2021 team will have the most overall talent that Frost has had. I know Toure hasn't played a down yet, but when was the last time we had a WR on our roster who was a legit draft pick after his Junior season? Stanley Morgan was legit, don't get me wrong, but I don't think he had the draft prospects Toure does. I think Betts will see a big jump after getting his feet wet this year and continued learning of the playbook. Martin will be a solid possession receiver. The tight-end spot and depth is the best its been for quite some time as Allen has proven to be an effective weapon and adding Fidone to the mix may take some time but he will be a mis-match at some point next year. RB is still somewhat of a question even with Stepp but the talent is there (just none with the game breaking ability of Mo Wash). The defense is also bringing back the most talent in 10 years and since 2009. I am not saying the defense will be on the same level or caliber (and still expect that 2009 to be better come seasons end) but this is the closest to that talent level we have had.
  13. I completely agree. However, look at how they scored some of their early touchdowns inside the red zone, they were on passes to the flat from motion. They then later used that motion to run plays off of because of the effectiveness. So its kind of a which came first, chicken or the egg.
  14. I think Frost was in a bit of a bind on how to get Wan'Dale more touches. I think he envisioned getting Wan'Dale the ball out in the flat but the current QBs struggled with consistency on the bubble and swing passes - so he had to resort to getting him more touches on handoffs. For all the nay sayers about throwing the flat/bubbles/swing passes from motion just look at what Alabama did last night. I know we don't have nearly the speed of Bama but such plays are a staple of a lot of modern offenses.
  15. Sure, every incoming freshman needs to 'develop', but if you're talking about physically developing he is one of the bigger/most developed receivers we have brought in at 6'3, 195lbs.
  16. To throw another scenario out... what happens if the BIG doesn't play a season? Wan'Dale is back home with his mom and realizes how much he misses the program and excited to get back to Lincoln. Flip side, he could also realize how much he enjoys being home and close to momma as well I guess.
  17. The transfer portal giveth, the transfer portal taketh...
  18. ahh! haha... my reading skills let me down as I missed that in your post.
  19. I'm not saying we didn't run tempo at times - but it seemed far less than his history and what he did at UCF. It also seemed like he did not use tempo as much with Martinez as he did with McCaffrey (I know a different convo).
  20. Thanks for the info. It leads to a lot of questions. How will this work with Title IX? How long before women athletes want to be paid the same as the male athletes - especially in the same sport? Also, and like others have said, how long before other programs are cut? The poaching of players by top tier programs will also be interesting. Hopefully, we get our new facilities built and paid for before this goes into effect as I don't see major projects on this scale being done with the frequency we are seeing now.
  21. Completely agree on Chins. I do still wish he would blitz or design pressure more often. His defense still has some room left for improvement on 3rd down as well. But overall he has improved the defense. I've been wondering if Frost may have curtailed his fast pace on offense (and slowed down time between snaps a bit) because Frost realized the defense was the strength this year and decided to shift philosophy a bit. I'd be real interested to see Frost's response to that question posed by a member of the media.
  22. Sounding like another battle with UCLA between Frost and Kelly. Pleasantly surprised it appears we are in the top 2.
