You’re the one making accusations about an entire town based on a very small portion of the popularion….. not I. I am simply defending Omaha as I have from several posts. If you read them, you’d know my stance on the situation. im sorry your customers are high maintenance, the city of Omaha must be tough.
-
What a coincidence!!! I have several customers in Lincoln that are high maintenance. So should I lay claim to the entire town of Lincoln thinking they are better than everyone else?!?!? (I don’t)

Biggest difference…. Can someone please tell my mother that when she comes up to Bellevue… it’s not like auburn Nebraska… it takes 40 mins to get there from west Omaha. It’s not just across town. Gosh!!! Lol
-
I agree completely. You also can’t go off just my point of view as a citizen of Omaha. I can tell you for a fact what Omaha doesn’t think they are better than anyone else in the state… they just have their own crap to worry about.

Truth. I went to a school that had 98 in my graduating class. I went to a smaller college and I bought 300 kids in my class was a lot. My wife teaches at a middle school in Omaha with 500+ per grade. I couldn’t imagine

Cotton, cav and Austin were all proven and for the better part of a decade I feel the oline has under performed. I am excited about the fire he will bring. Hoping that’s enough. Who knows. Fingers crossed

I also agree with the stereotyping. I live in Omaha and work all over Nebraska. Omaha residents are seen at rude, fast, and unforgiving. I also came from a small town and I know many inner city metro residents view us small town folks as slow and uneducated. In all reality we’re all similar. My best friend hadn’t been outside of Omaha and Lincoln (he’d go there for the games) his entire life. For my wedding reception he went to my hometown. Was shocked! I was shocked he’d never been outside of Omaha!!!

Agreed! There are 722 kids at grand island northwest high school. 9-12 grades. There are 1,7xx enrolled in just Omaha North. Omaha kids are used to being lost in the shuffle (how sad is that) but that’s also why they aren’t afraid to look at bigger schools

Grad assistant coach for ND, small school job and also an assistant ol coach foe the bears. I mean this is a great background for an assistant coach! Add that to the fire he shows?!? That and his career?!? Being a good player does convert to being a good coach at times too! Look at Byron Leftwhitch

Heinrich haarberg had offers from us and Boston college. Had he played at Bellevue west, he’d have 17+ offers. Exposure in big cities is different. It’s not fair to question the loyalty of the Omaha schools to that of say Kearney. You can’t fault a kid for wanting to find the right fit for him. If he had had offers from other schools, might he have considered them?

I mean I live in Omaha and there is plenty of husker love here. Creighton takes some of the basketball love but there is still plenty. difference is York, GI, NP, Kearney, and Norfolk aren’t recruited hard by other programs… Omaha is. I would say that the Omaha and lack of state pride narrative is false. They just seem to have more opportunities from other schools in comparison to other cities in the state. (Lincoln excluded)

What?!? Cb is not that big lol

He’s in the portal Richard

I disagree. I think both are nice add ons but I think it’s a great hire.
-
You really think riola was hired because of his brother?!?! I hope that’s just sarcasm.

We also had one of the hardest schedules we’ve seen in years. I know Bo won all those 9 win years…. I also know how they folded under hard competition. This team fought tooth and nail all the way. All those top 10 teams in a row… it was impressively sad
-
I understand that everyone’s sick of the “we’re close” excuse but you can’t deny the fact that we are. We are competing on a high level… we are losing those games… but we are close
-
It’s easier for them to say we suck. It fits the fire frost narrative more.

Teddy was doing damn good and it’s not like they were abysmal. There is talent there. Trust in the new coach
