  1. It's hard for me to admit, but we have one of the worst student sections in the Big XII. Oh, there loyal and show up, represent and then go home, but if you have ever been to another stadium within the Big XII and outside of the Big XII, our student section is a joke. They never come up with anything creative and when it seems like they have, it quickly just fades away. I'm pleading with all the students that will represent this year to become THE best student section in the Big XII. Come up with creative chants. Be LOUD. You know, be college students. Be rowdy. Be funny. Be intimidating. We have the best fans in the country, but our student section is worthless...
  2. THANK GOD! The saga of T Spain is over. Welcome, find your helmet and get on the field...
  3. I couldn't agree with you more DaveH. If Rose would spend more time on the game and less time trying to convince a bunch football hungry fans how smart he thinks he is, he would be decent. My favorite announcers are the one's who use the least amout of words. Let the sounds of a college football Saturday paint the picture; you just fill in the rest!
  4. These guys never stop. Another to the coaches!!
  5. No matter what you think of Stevie P, the man IS a genius..... http://www.huskers.com//share/ViewPhoto.db..._IMAGE_SIZE=400
  6. Shanle draft bound???? News to me. I'm pretty sure he'll make it for his senior year.
  7. Alright, let me specify.......biggest High School California get. My opinion, Bradford could may be the biggest commit in recent Husker history. If you think about, you talking about the #1 player in a state that is dominated by a two time defending champion that basically picks and chooses who they want (except Lucky ) But too go in to the state of California and pluck out that states top overall player would be amazing!
  8. Either one would be a major, major accomplishment for the coaching staff. You could say a better catch maybe then Lucky was for them last year. As of right now, we have a decent shot at both.
  9. It was expected that some time this week all of the five (Obviously Tomerlin and Jackson are N) were to have clearance and on the field. It's now going to be Thursday. If Spain gets cleared by tomorrow or Friday, I think he'll be fine and should push to make an impact. If it's delayed any further, very, very hard to say what will happen too him this year. My guess.......how does '06 sound too you Tyrell. As for the Picous, I expected both of them too redshirt this year, so the delay to me isn't huge. But when it comes too fall camp, the one thing we knows is that we don't know anything. Either one of them could come in and push for some playing time. All in all, it would just nice too know everyone is N and ready to go.
  10. All three need to get in here ASAP but Spain (with the 3 to 4 week loss of Brooks) is an definte must to have in camp now! What look like a position of some depth (how good that depth was or is is TBD), is now a position of even more question marks. Interesting to see how the coaching staff takes at look at the WR spot if Spain doesn't make it and Brooks heads down the redshirt road. Bowman anyone?????
  11. "House of Spears" Suh He has the size too play inside with the speed to play as a rush end. No doubt he will play and contribute right away. Oh and what happens if Suh and Ruud both tackle a guy. What the hell are we suppose to yell????
  12. I might be wrong, but wasn't Matt Herian about 6'5, 215 lbs when he came here as a freshman? I love these tall, skinny midwestern tight ends. Makes Coach Kennedy earn his pay
  13. My guess.......Antwan Cobb or Terrell Reese that or Allen Bradford stuns everyone and pulls the trigger right after the Maine game your guesses
  14. I think Callahan made that statement early without realizing how much talent he had at the reciever spot (ie Hardy, Nunn, Brooks, Spain etc). I just wouldn't be surprise though with how much glowing reviews the give this guy, that he doesn't appear on the offensive side of the ball. Maybe the TT game or the OU game. I guess its a very nice problem to have. Oh, and thanks for all the welcomes.
  15. According to RSS, Leon praticed today. Not a member so I don't have any more info on that
  16. 1. A QB that understands the differance between a wide reciever and a linebacker. 2. Speed. No not the drug, but overall team speed. Speed at the corners, speed with the linebackers, speed with the rush ends, speed with the wideouts and a speedy, breakaway type I-back. 3. Not just leaders, but VOCAL leaders. Isn't there a Peter or Wistrom brother hanging around out there? 4. More paitence. This could be a 8 to 9 win team or a 5 to 6 win team. I think this state needs to get better at adapting to change, even if it sucks. 5. Get off Stevie P's back. Trust me, the man is and will do some great things around here... and what the hell, one more for fun 6. More better recruiting. One class isn't going to fix all of the problems Solich and Company left behind. Keep the cell phones charged. That's all.....for now
  17. Oh, by the way, I'm new here... I know Callahan hinted when Bowman signed that he could or would play both sides of the ball. Has he strictly been with work with the defensive backs???
