  1. $100 or best offer. Section 32 row 53. email: ed_muller@gallup.com
  2. It's less than 200 votes! VOTE NOW!!!
  3. Word on the street is that Carl Johnson was in the stands last night with Josh Freeman. Carl is the 5 star recruit recently committed to Florida. Apparently he paid his own way. Anyone else have any info?
  4. I liked it. Couldn't hear it all that well, but it looked good. I like having the "Husker Prayer" at the beginning. That always gets me psyched up. The tribute to Brook was cool too. Very short, not a lot of flash. The way it should be!
  5. Loved Bowman's responses to the second houndin' the Huskers: Sounds like he has a VERY good head on his shoulders. I can't wait to watch this guy! CoachCallahan.com
  6. THe College Football News just posted their Unit Rankings for Offense, and this is how they look: Overall: Nebraska #52 Quarterbacks: Nebraska #58 Running Backs: Nebraska #34 Wide Receivers: Nebraska #81 Offensive Line: Nebraska #52 I can understand some of the QB and WR rankings, since most of our have never seen the D-1 football field. But how in the world did they put our RB's at #34? What 33 other schools have a stable of backs comparable to ours? Granted, most these guys haven't played D-1 yet, but we should be higher for Ross alone! I can't wait until we prove the world wrong!!! College Football News Unit Rankings (offense)
  7. I meant the plural for multiple guys named Titus (Brothers and Adams), not the possessive for Titus (like Titus' sweaty gym sock)! Tituses? Titusen? Titusi? Will we ever know?
  8. Having grown up on my grandmother's homemade "Runzas," the re-heated soggy ones at the stadium just don't do it for me! A Fairbury Brand Hotdog, however, is something that actually gets better with time! Wrapped up in the foil on gameday, the steam and juices from the red weiner soak into the bun, and allow the flavors to mature and mingle. A splash of mustard accents the delectable tubular meat. In addition, the Fairbury Brand Hotdog is ultra portable, and much less messy! Now I'm hungry...
  9. Nebraska Football has had a lot of great names through out the years (remember Bob Sledge, OL a few years back?). Just take a look at a few of the really good names for this year: At Wide Receiver, these names just sound fast: Swift and Fluellen in particular conjure up images of speed, but Frantz, Nunn, Spain, and Shamus are all pretty good too. Example: Drive the new, Dodge LeFlore XT! See what I mean? At Offensive Line, there aren't any "Sledges" out there, but I wouldn't want to have to lift any of these BIG names: Cornelius Fuamatu-Thomas, Slauson, Murtha, and Seppo Evwaraye. I'm tired from just spelling them! Not to mention the Mann on the line! On the Defensive Front, you're in trouble if you run into any of these names in a dark alley: Ndamukong "Kong" Suh, Titus, Steinkuhler, Ola Dagunduro, Wali Muhammad, and LeKevin. Plus, if you get by them, you've got to deal with an Octavien, Bullocks, or Rigoni! Forget about it! Other good names this year: We've got a Harrison (think Indiana Jones adventure!), a Zac, a Zack, a Zach, a Lucky, Brothers, and 2 Tituses (what is the plural for Titus?). Just reading the roster, I think we go undefeated this year! Anyone have any favorites from this year, or previous seasons?
  10. My wish is to once again be able to walk down a street in any city in the United States with a Husker shirt on, knowing that we are the best in the land. Best football team, best moral character, best work ethic, best everything. That feeling that I had walking around in 1984, following the failed two point conversion. When people saw a Husker shirt then, they knew they were looking at a member of the great Husker Nation. A Nation of the most loyal, noble fans in the world, and followers of the greatest group of young athletes and coaches in the world. As a Husker and Nebraskan, I was at my very proudest on that day. I wish to have that amazing pride back! The excitement about this season comes from the anticipation that my wish may be coming true very soon!
  11. 1) How long have you been a member of Husker Nation? 32 years 2) What/who led you to The Nation? I was born in the Husker Nation. Scarlet and Cream flow through my veins (kind of gross, but true). 3) Where are you from originally? Lincoln, Nebraska 4) Where do you live now? Lincoln, NE 5) Favorite Husker memory? Easily the 1994 Orange Bowl victory over the Hurricanes. The moment when we realized that the game was won, with a couple minutes left in the game. When the side judge official turned to Coach Osborne and congratulated him with over a minute left in the game. The smile that came over his face at that moment as he thanked him will stay with me forever! 6) Worst Husker memory? 2001 Colorado loss. Actually got in my car and started driving without direction. Ended up at a pizza place 130 miles out of Lincoln, in a small town west of here. Don't even remember the name of the place. Ugh. 7) Number of home games attended? Every home game, every year, since 1996. Plus another 20 games or so prior to that. 8) Number of away games attended? 3 9) Favorite Husker memorabilia/apparel? My good luck fish socks. Got them for Christmas 1994. Wore them for the Championship game, and for two dozen victories since. Have never had them on for a loss. 10) Favorite place to watch a Husker game? Section 32, row 53, seat 19. 11) Favorite all time player? Touchdown Tommie Frazier 12) WCO or Option? The WCO will grow on me, but the option said so much about the people of this state: strong, determined, not flashy. 13) Stevie Pederson or Billy Byrne? Steve Pederson 14) Lil Red or Herbie Husker? Herbie. Old, ugly Herbie. 15) Favorite Husker play? The fumlerooski. 16) Favorite game-day beverage? Water. Keep it clean. 17) How did you find HuskerBoard? Yahoo search .
