Does "silently committed" mean "wanted to commit but was told to wait?" I don't have any inside info but seems like there's a lot of talk that he's not a Plan A player for Bama - I just wonder which side was requesting that the commitment remain silent.

In either case it was great for us, we have a shot at least.

No. BAMA keeps trying to get him to commit but he’s holding off because he wants to hear the other schools out. BAMA said that’s fine but We’re going to try and fill that spot and if it gets filled they won’t have room. and they’re both ok with that.

I’d love to be a fly on the wall for those visits.

What do you suppose they talk about?

saben..... you can come in work hard for 4 years and we will make sure you get some playing time.   It’ll be tough to compete with the players we have but we really need strong back ups....

edwards.... you know I coached Payton Manning right?  Sure he did most of the coaching but I was there.  I took a long time off and I only have a few years left but I think you’d be a good player.  Did I mention I coached Payton Manning?

    When did Edwards coach manning?

Seems like USC and ASU are gaining momentum here and we are trying to hold on.

Don't like that he's waiting till Feb to sign now, only gives more time for USC and ASU to get him to stay home.

ASU reporter said he has discussed with us and ASU that he could sign the 19th and then announce his decision at his all star game. Both staffs were ok with it.

I could certainly see that, but it makes me wonder: if Robinson is that big of a fan of Brohm, why not commit to Purdue? Or is this an Adrian Martinez situation where the new gig is more enticing than the old gig?

He’d be playing the same position as Rondale at Purdue. Now he’ll have that position at Louisville.

s#!t like this drives me nuts. This was a kid that everyone in the country wanted. Because we couldn't develop him with either staff he played under isn't necessarily his fault and for fans to have a "f#&% him good riddance" attitude is ignorant. Losing talent like him is never a positive.

    Mountain man? More like cushlash
