  1. If anyone, especially players and coaches, approaches this game with the attitude that they can let off the gas even a little, bad things will happen. This is not a game where you play down to your opponents; where you don't use your best players; where you take a few plays off; where you underestimate your opponent. OP makes assumptions about our running game and their run defense. He is also by implication making assumptions about many other things happening exactly as he would like them to happen. Bad mistake. Never let off the gas. Never.
  2. There should be no polls until week six. Too much speculation before then. Doesn't really matter in my mind if they are ranked too high or too low today. You have to beat all lesser opponents and win big games. Huskers are doing what they have to do so far. Just win baby! The polls/BCS will take care of themselves. Let's talk again on November 1 when the BCS rankings come out after beating Indiana and Purdue (lesser opponents) and winning a big game. (Wisconsin). Games 8 and 9 will determine where this season is heading, assuming no confirmation of being overrated before then.
  3. Good position to be in top 10 by Wisconsin week.
  4. Why wouldn't Orgeron just call Riley and tell him he's interested? They did coach together at USC and Riley says they have a good relationship. I don't get why he would let the media know first. Seems odd or maybe they have talked.
  5. Here's what Riley says about Orgeron: “I’m glad to know that, I suppose,” Riley said with a smile. That’s pretty neat.” http://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/football/what-about-orgeron/article_cf513b5c-7c9e-11e4-ac75-d71b93ad343f.html
  6. You all will be checking the recruiting sites all winter long. You all will be on the edge of your seats come spring game time and the anticipation level next August will be be the same if not higher. It's just the way it is. That's why we're fans. If not, well ... adios.
  7. Correction - 173 miles from Youngstown to Columbus. Unless the plane is making a stop in Youngstown on the way, that plane is likely not carrying the suspected passenger. Still doesn't rule out a person from Lincoln being in Youngstown today.
  8. Hmmm....when was this picture taken? Why did he post it now? So many unknowns... Says 5:57pm assuming EST. Concert started at 7pm EST. Plane doesn't leave until 9:40pm EST. So ... Doesn't rule anything out. Or in.

  10. It should also be noted that the plane, a Learjet 31, has not yet returned to Lincoln, according to Flight Aware, if that wasn't already clear. My guess would be, if this plane has anything to do with hiring a football coach, something will happen shortly after it does return, unless of course, it returns without a prized passenger.what's the flight number or plane #? tail number N260LF http://e0.photos.flightcdn.com/photos/retriever/f7606f8fa769a3449a8988e7b7e274f950d55a33

  12. Re: guy who owns the Learjet 31 mentioned earlier: Bill Kubly passed on a skybox back in 1999 because he they didn't want to pony up $2mil and because they liked watching games from the stands. He's also a Wisconsin grad. "Bill and Myrna Kubly of Lincoln were approached by university officials, and friends sought them out to split the cost, but they passed. Bill Kubly is founder and president of Landscapes Unlimited, one of the top golf course construction firms in the country. So why didn't they pony up? ”There were several reasons, quite frankly,” Myrna Kubly said. ”The cost was No. 1.” The Kublys enjoy the excitement of watching the Huskers from the stands, she said. She felt ”closed in” whenever she sat in the press box. And the skyboxes ”are so far up, you'd feel like (the game) was on television,” she said." http://www.yankton.net/news/article_0eeee13c-4c41-5574-b111-77f6b0692c32.html
  13. I concur...Throw in M. Roses mom's tweets about Tressel being the next HC...etc...too much smoke to not mean something...Tressel has a role in all of this. This is the first I have heard of this tweet. hmmmmm Peeps... it wasn't a tweet. It wasn't Instagram. M. Roses' mom posted on her Facebook timeline, not too long after the firing of Pelini. She mentioned not being happy about Pelini being fired, the way the players were informed, and then she suggested that Tressel was being hired. I'm in the midst of confirming if the post is still on her timeline. twitter. facebook. instagram. chive.com. pornhub. it's all the same. Correct. Reddit is where it's at.
