Its a gamble. It is your only chance to transfer and not sit out. It is not as much about the change of coach as it is the opportunity to maybe play elsewhere without sitting out. I wouldn't be surprised if Cross or Newby don't even start next year. They would still have to sit out. You lose a year just like any other transfer.Yeah, I got that wrong.

This program doesn't need hype or a scheme, it needs leadership. Hiring a coach because their already built offense or defense performs well is how we got here. Bill Snyder is 75 and the only reason TO retired is because of his handshake with Frank. I hope they bring in Moglia or Tressel as HC and go after high caliber DC/OCs. These two would provide leadership and we would could build HC level coordinators.

If I'm looking for a DC at a big time school, I'm calling him. He's not going to get a major HC job and I think it would be a mistake to take a lower tier HC job.

It doesn't mean anything. You really can't compare the two. Pelini has had atleast 13 games every season. He actually has 3 seasons with 14 games. TO only had one 13 game season. TO was 65-18-2 (85 games). Percentage of 78.3% (didn't count the ties) Pelini is 67-27 (94 games). Percentage of 71.3% You also want to leave out the legacy of the loses. Bo's loses are Chernobyl style. I am also tired of hearing how games like today are 'great wins'. Iowa sucks. Just like Northwestern 2013 (hail mary) sucked. Only thing shown today is that these kids are talented enough to overcome the scheme. I am excited about that.
