Katz is a solid coach. What we have is a couple of kids who made a bluff and got called. Happens all the time. But in their defense it worked when TMart did it.

haha everybody is jumpin on this one. again never said he was best coach in the nation, but we dont have that good of talent. just because they play for nebraska and we kind of "know" them doesnt mean they are good players. he took utep to a 27-7 record and is doing some good things this year in my mind. lost to who we were sposed to and and beat who we were sposed to besides losing to davidson and beating #11 A&M. what did you think the season was gonna look like?

Agree that stats aren't everything, but mean more in basketball than football in my mind. Diante Garrett is the only solid player for ISU. Could namedrop more PGs but dk if they "mean" more to the team.

Big Ern - the thing I don't get is that his material is arguably better than it used to be. It's not just gangster bs, like it used to be. But is flow is not the same. I don't know if he forgot how, or if the beats he uses now sort of stiffen up his feel, but that's what drives me nuts about his current music compared to his early stuff, which was dope.

That said, it seems to be a problem across hip hop, in my opinion. Nas and Kendrick are still fairly sophisticated from a rhythmic standpoint, Em still can be when he wants to be (see the 2011 BET cypher), but otherwise there's a lot of really bland stuff out there.

I've pitched having a chat room for years, preferably with an IRC applet.

Recently the admins have been experimenting with a native board chat program, but haven't advertised or pushed it much. I've done gameday chat rooms a few times over the last few years and they are always a blast, but I'm usually not around a computer during games, thus it's only happened a few times.

@Mavric I agree and that fumbled sack impacted passing as well. Three turnovers in the first half change your game plan. Especially when a pass heavy drive to start the second half is successful.

Turnovers are a really telling story to these stats too.

Bama also plays an FCS team nearly every year.  Mercer this year.  Cattananooga last year.  Charleston Southern two years ago.  And so on.  So there's that. 

It's clear they've realized that SOS means absolutely nothing when you have that SEC bias behind you.

8 game conference schedule, play marquee non con foe at neutral site every year and schedule an FCS team before rivalry week.

Callahan proved recruiting the highly rated guys can be done here. You just need the right staff.

I'm just not sure we have many on this staff that can. Especially on the defensive side.

We are going to find out very quickly that this staff lacks recruiters.

No one knows what the reason was for the transfer.  The school also granted him an uncontested release. To make assumptions and treat them as facts IMO is irresponsible.

The reason he and his attorney filed for a waiver against the sit out rule is in fact known. 

Its not Bo's whole defense isn't hard to understand, its mostly the secondary. We are more likely to have RFr start at Dline or even LB way before the secondary.

You would be on the visitors side, so they wouldn't have as many player on the sideline that you would have to see through. So you probably have a better seat than if you were on the east side.

I think sections 6 and 7 are in East Stadium. They're closest to campus.

I know for a fact that players within Bo's tenure have gotten "special" treatment, money, discounts for being a Husker. This goes on everywhere, but there is a difference between getting a few hundred, or a deal on a car, compared to $100K or more, like Alabama boosters have been doing.

There are also rules in place by the NCAA that when on the road you can provide student-athletes with cash for entertainment and food purposes. I am not familiar with the NCAA rules on this. I know the NJCAA rules a bit better.
