I like Whipple also because he's an older guy with experience. I always felt the staff was mostly younger coaches who were push-overs. The staff needed someone like Mickey and Whip to come in. I think things can start to click well going forward. Frost is still a good offensive mind.

Players and some coaches have mentioned that we are basically using Whipple's passing schemes mixed with Frost's running schemes and verbiage. This shouldn't come as a surprise.

If we don't start at least 4-2 then we are through. I think having a really hard 3 games to end the year is slightly more ideal this season as we need to get the kids to gel on offense.

Nebraska has the biggest variance for floor and ceiling in the West. We could go 5-5 or 10-2. I know this isn't new info but we have A LOT of new pieces on this team. Whole new offensive coaching staff and play caller. Along with that we will have 10 new kids that will play a big part on this team. We know from the past that not all transfers will be good. Kool-aid is flowing

I stood next to AM and he is no taller than 6'2. Thompson is only 6'0 but def has way more muscle than AM. Better mechanics and footwork as a QB which I think matters most when throwing the ball.

Miller and Coleman we are good.

I doubt NPG sees the field on defense. Honestly I expected him to hit the portal.

Hard to say since he was asked in another question and only mentioned 1 of the 2 asked about before moving on as well. He also wasn't going to mention Decoldest it seemed until asked again. Time will tell but I am not worried about Hixson. He's 23 now and has many starts under his belt. He's no Jurgens but I think he plays well enough.

I think with Palmer, Manning, Martin, Garcia-Casteneda, Washington, Vokolek, & Johnson - that's enough to get the offense moving. Comes down to how quickly this team can gel and can the OL hold up? If so, I feel pretty good. Casey has much better footwork and mechanics IMO to be a better QB than AM.

I'll say for the 100th time that Frost's biggest mistake was brining along his friends to coach. Specifically Austin, Verduzco, Held & Lubick. What a complete waste of offensive assistants. The stability has been terrible by Frost as well game by game. Need to hammer home the details as we all know. So many random players out there from week to week over the past 4 years. I think our "talent" has been over stated many times IMO due to some skill players who rarely stick around most times. Again, just build some stability and this thing can take back off.
