  1. He is a December grad from Fort Scott CC which has produced some solid players in the past few years for Nebraska. He is #3 in the video. Tore it up the first game. Player: Malcolm Moulton (JUCO) Hometown: Lawrenceville, GA (Fort Scott, KS) School: Central Gwinnett HS (Fort Scott CC) Position: WR Height: 6'0" Weight: 190 40 time: 4.4 Scholarships: Arkansas St, Nebraska, Northern Illinois, Southern Miss 2010 stats: 46 rec. 757 yds. 6 td's Rivals: :star Scout: :star
  2. The first thing you need to look at his who you have lost from graduation or NFL draft. We aren't having anyone besides seniors leave which is a solid start. Now what seniors did you lose? How good were they? Well...Niles Paul - Can't catch and fumbles a ridiculous amount, but made some solid returns on special teams. Roy Helu Jr. - Was a solid back the past two seasons at Nebraska, but his ability to be trusted to make plays and hold onto the ball late in games was a big hole in his game. Mike McNeill - Was an alright WR at best only because he has the speed and intangibles of a tight end. Ricky Henry and Keith Williams are hit or miss offensive lineman as explained. So offensively I don't feel we lose much at all. On the defensive side Prince Amukamara, Dejon Gomes, and Eric Hagg are obviously big losses. The only other one is Pierre Allen of the defensive line who was banged up this year, and to be honest I was never impressed. We pretty much get our front seven back which is the best scenario going into the Big 10. We have A LOT of talent back IMO and will be a solid team once again. It all comes down to coaching on the offensive side of the ball and teaching our players to play more physical on defense. 9-3 season is what it looks like at the moment. Offense...offense....offense. Please improve.
  3. Obviously I know if your a better athlete you have more of a chance to be good. NFL scouts and coaches watch kids play for 4 years in college and still are fully swayed into the combine. DHB for the Raiders being the prime example of retarded, or the scouts not being able to decide between Suh and Gerald McCoy. Cmon Man!
  4. Why do people base so much on a player by their 40 time, bench press, squat max, vertical, shuttle time, and all the other nonsense drills players are to do for NFL combine or judging a kid out of high school? Players need to be based more on how GOOD YOU ARE AT FOOTBALL. Niles Paul for instance has the perfect strength, size, and speed but I would take anyone who can catch and make smart plays. Not saying these things don't matter, but this isn't track, this is football. Start recruiting players who are good at it along with drafting them. AKA Dolphins are horrible at this year in and out(my fav. NFL team) and the Patriots find kids who wouldn't be picked for gym class who tear it up. FACT.
  5. Green is in no way shape or form going to be redshirted next season if Heard was playing or not. He's our best recruit in like 10 years and we are going to redshirt him? CMON MAN! It sucks he didn't make the grades, but we should be more focused on o-line blocking and being able to throw the damn ball.
  6. Speedy WR that is teammates with Ameer Abdullah. They will both be in Lincoln tomorrow --1/14/11. Here is a link of him owning people on the 100 m dash in Alabama.
  7. Looks pretty solid, but he is only a junior. I'm not even thinking that far ahead yet.
  8. You make a good point, but obviously we are recruiting dual-threat QB's. Only about 2 dual-threat QB's a year are actually 100% considered QB's. When you have the ability to run people consider you an athlete as well. Cody Green was raw but he threw 36 td's to 5 int's his senior year. You can't do better than that. Kids like Newton, Vince Young, and Pryor don't come around very often.
  9. We have a new running back recruit that is taking a visit on the 14th and then USC the 28th. He is from the state of Alabama which is unusual for us, and this kid can make some plays. Abdullah played solid in the Bama All-Star game. He has the right analog stick on lock (for you ps3 or xbox users) aka juke move. I have a link for his highlight video below along with his Rivals page. Rivals page ---- My link YouTube -----
  10. Hobbi isn't considering Nebraska anymore. He's down to USC, Arizona State, and UCLA.
  11. Starting with the D-Line we will obviously be very solid, especially if Crick stays. As stated we have many many kids who are going to be fighting for PT next season. I think the starters will end up being Ankrah, Crick, Steinkuhler, and Meredith. Lots of rotations will be done as well since we have plenty of depth. All the Linebackers return which will help with experience. We need someone other than Lavonte to step up though. Compton, Fisher, Whaley, Martin or whoever needs to man up and play the position because it is going to be twice as vital in the Big 10 as it was for the Big 12. Our secondary loses plenty of talent, but again the Big 10 is more of a run first conference. I think we will see lots of man coverage especially with the Fonz taking the #1 receiver every game. Evans played pretty well for being a freshman and Osborne will be a solid SS spot because of his run support. P.J. smith is a good coverage safety especially in zone, but we've seen he needs to improve on tackling. I say watch out for Daimion Stafford. The kid is truly a playmaker that can also return punts and kicks. He will get plenty of PT at safety.
  12. Are you referring to the U.S. Army All-American football game? That is this Saturday. (Jan 8th) That is correct. Thought it was the 6th.
  13. This is the best recruiting class since the 90's IMO and we have some talented recruits playing tonight and tomorrow. The Under Armour game is tonight with ATH Jamal Turner leading the way. Then the big day is Saturday night with US Army All-American game. Here is the list of who is committed and who is considering with signing with the team.--- Tevin Mitchel and Niklas Sade decommitted from the team. Committed Aaron Green - RB (Very quick and shifty playmaker) Charles Jackson - DB (Great size for a corner who can help with run support) Bubba Starling - QB (Dual Threat QB with good size...MLB stands in the way) Tyler Moore - OL (Great footwork and devastating run blocker) Considering Ray Drew - DL (Very good size, and is considered one of the strongest prospects in the nation) Wayne Lyons - DB (Thick safety who has a good knack for the ball) Todd Peat Jr - DL (Guy has a high motor and quick feet for his size)
  14. 1. He'd better land a new job then. 2. Not happening 3. Hard to execute with shorter QBs. 4. So Helu and Burkhead sit in favor of Austin Jones? 5. Not until they get that five-yard slant "detailed." I could care less if Watson is out of job for the rest of his life. He makes $380,000 to do what???? Martinez will almost 99% stay at QB, but if I was coach I would open the job up and have them compete, and also let him know if he moves to WR or Safety he will have a chance in the NFL (not QB). He's 6'1---You dont have to be 6'7 to throw a screen pass, hell you dont have to be 6'0 IMO. Yes they sit if they keep fumbling--dont people realize how costly turnovers are? 5 yard slants detailed? This is our only route run besides the prayer fly route we throw to Paul once every other game.
  15. ......and if we keep the same coaches the same results will happen again. Funny how challenged people are to see this. I can coach better than Watson, Gilmore, and Beck. FACT
  16. 1. Shawn Watson has to go. Wouldn't mind if all other offensive coaches joined. 2. Martinez needs to be moved to WR. (Unless Green/Turner/Starling can't improve on throwing the ball). 3. Screen passes need to be called. 4. Quit fumbling and dropping the football!!! IF you do so you DON'T play. Only solution. 5. WR's need to be taught how to run routes besides the 5 yard slant.
  17. Bryan Harsin, Boise State OC - Most balanced and unpredictable OC in the nation. To me the best in the nation. I doubt he would move somewhere without Chris Peterson but it would be nice. Look for him to maybe even take a head coaching job somewhere. Chris Klenakis, Nevada OC - Very balanced and good with running quarterbacks. Balanced at running and throwing the ball. Implements the pistol offense which I like. Mark Mangino, ex Kansas HC - Took Kansas to the Orange Bowl and won it! Won 3 bowl games which tied the 102 years before him. He has ties with Pelini, but also has anger issues that has gotten him in trouble. We know he can produce QB's and WR's. Also was the OU offensive coordinator when they won the National Title.
  18. Texas A&M - 27th in points allowed, 20.3 ppg Nebraska - 8th in points allowed, 17.2 ppg Von Miller 59 tackles 34 solo 3 forced fumbles 9 1/2 sacks Lavonte David 145 tackles 77 solo 10 pass break-ups 6 sacks
  19. Hagg should be 1st team over Prince, but that's besides the point. When are we ever going to get OFFENSIVE players on these lists? 1. Need a new O-Coordinator 2. Need to throw more. We never had a 1,000 yard receiver? Horrible
  20. Martinez is NOT going to transfer so quit talking about it because it's seriously getting annoying. First off look how our good our offense played until Martinez got hurt in the Mizzou game. The kid shouldnt even have played in the Big 12 championship game. He should and will start at qb next year. If he doesn't improve though definitely look for him at WR and KR/PR, because if he ever wants to go to the NFL these are the only positions he can play---not QB or defense. Watson needs to be gone and we will be fine. We need more than 5 yard slants to be successful.
  21. 0% chance Bo is even thinking about the job.
  22. His production has been solid, but so has his fumbling issues. Him and Paul make big plays that others cant then turn around and drop passes and fumble. You have to factor that in. It also shows late in games that the coaches feel the same way when Burkhead is always in and no Helu.
  23. Graduation solves 2 problems -- Helu and Paul. Now we just need to fix Martinez, I love the kid at QB, but if he cant fix a few things such as ball security, mechanics, and pocket presence I would love him at WR. I am definately not giving up on him yet since he started off GREAT for a freshman and injuries hurt him, but practice needs to be put in over the off-season. Plus he is going to play WR/PR & KR at the next level anyways.
  24. QB - Martinez, Carnes, Green RB - Burkhead, Green, Heard -(Don't sleep on this kid) WR - Kinnie, Enunwa, Turner (We have too much depth at QB, I'd like him at WR with playmaker abilities and less depth at the position) TE - Reed, Cotton LOTS of talent/playmakers...hopefully we use them correctly and not run read handoffs for 1st and 2nd downs and short 5 yard slants on 3rd all game long. We never stratch the field. Worst offense I've seen in a long time and it needs to change otherwise we will keep getting the same results.
