  1. Bama has now had 5 players on defense transfer since Pruitt took over as DC

    1. NUance

      NUance

Well it's a good thing they still have another fifty 4* and 5* defensive recruits on their roster!

    2. TAKODA

      TAKODA

Yep NUance, they are hurting for talent right. Insert sarcasm!

  2. Can ppl seriously just post what people's tweets show instead of clicking on the link every time? Copy and paste is all it requires

I had a blocked twitter widget once. Most painful day of my life.

  3. Nebraska now has 0 guys in the top 250 in the latest 247 ratings

Yet if you look at Rivals or Scout you'll see a lot of stars. Funny that.

I suppose I have to be the one that says it. We should fire HCMR. Clearly he can't coach and his recruiting is not up to snuff.

  4. Anyone know if they have an update on the release of the 30 for 30 on the 95 Nebraska team?

    1. NUance

      NUance

Haven't seen any update. It'd be a good idea though.

HAD TO FILL OUT A FORM FOR THE MILITARY ONLINE. IT WOULDN'T ACCEPT 06/13/16. THEN LOOKED AT DIRECTIONS - DD/MM/YY

  6. Would be nice if Gill is friends with Chinanu Onuaku now that the ban will be set in place.

  7. Six wins: 56.2% runs, 43.8% passes Seven losses: 40.7% runs, 59.3% passes

And we were only "forced" to pass against Purdue after we got behind because we were throwing INTs so.....

    3. Huskerzoo

      Huskerzoo

@Mavric I agree and that fumbled sack impacted passing as well. Three turnovers in the first half change your game plan. Especially when a pass heavy drive to start the second half is successful.

    4. Savage Husker

      Savage Husker

Turnovers are a really telling story to these stats too.

  8. This recruiting class is looking.....not so good.

Callahan proved recruiting the highly rated guys can be done here. You just need the right staff.

    3. Decked

      Decked

I'm just not sure we have many on this staff that can. Especially on the defensive side.

    4. onlyHskrfaninIL

      onlyHskrfaninIL

We are going to find out very quickly that this staff lacks recruiters.

  9. At least Martinez could run the ball....

  10. 4th and 1...throw a 25 yard jump ball???? I can't keep watching stupid football

    1. Husker Richard

      Husker Richard

I'm losing my mind over here. The worst part is, we are as good, if not better than Iowa.

  11. I want O'Brien to start day 1. I'm done wathcing Armstrong make bonehead plays. He NEVER will learn

  12. Watson needs to start at PG. Parker and Webster can come in for some D and energy. They are turnover machines and don't bring anything offensively.

I think it's too early in the season for Watson to start at PG. Let him get some experience and confidence, and have him be the guy for conference play.

    4. BIG ERN

      BIG ERN

Why when he is already better? The other two can't hack it.

Webster might have the worst career stat line for a starter in B10 history.

  13. In 4 full games Leonte Carroo played, Rutgers avg 44 PPG. In other 8 games, Rutgers avg 12 PPG. Carroo 9 TD, 22 YPC this year

    1. funhusker

      funhusker

He's good. But him being gone doesn't tell the whole story. In a vacuum, his value is worth 13 points a game. That would increase the 12ppg to 25. There is much more going on than the absence of one WR. Nebraska should and NEEDS to win this game if they want to keep momentum from last weekend.

    2. funhusker

      funhusker

^^^I should have added in the XP for the PPG. Should be 16 for a total of 28. Still, Nebraska needs to beat Rutgers' entire roster.

    3. Saunders

      Saunders

Bracket coverage the guy all day.

  14. Westerkamp is 199 yards away from being the first Nebraska WR to reach 1,000 yards in a season.

He had 140 or 150 just Saturday. He could get it even without a bowl.

    3. Redux

      Redux

Could come close Saturday, think Iowa will be all over him....if they have any inkling of Pass D.

    4. Minnesota_husker

      Minnesota_husker

More impressive when you see how he does it. Across the middle, and only averages 13.8 yards a catch. He isnt racking up yards because of deep balls. Longest catch of the year is only 38 yards. Top 25 in both catches and yards.

    4. JJ Husker

      JJ Husker

What was the context of him saying this? That could be taken 2 completely different ways. 1-Jordan and/or Finnin were weak. 2-The program is really in disarray and it takes unusual effort to keep hanging in here.

  16. We are 3-5

    1. NUance

      NUance

Hard to believe. It seems like we do just enough every Saturday to barely lose. /facepalm

  17. Wilbon isn't seeing the field because of off the field issues. Figured I'd wash up the rumors of him not being able to block, coaches decision etc.

  18. From 99-02' Dennis Erickson went 31-17 @ Oregon State when Riley left to the NFL. In 2000 they went 11-1 and won the Fiesta Bowl.

Erickson is a great football coach. I don't think anyone would argue that.

shouldn't have said bball 'school'but meant we could have more success in the near future, more than football

      StPaulHusker

I've seen consistent success with football. never with basketball. Once I see that, i will believe

I feel your pain. I just tell them that if they don't want to hear it from me when they suck it up, and they will, they probably shouldn't raz me now. I also like to ask them how National Championships they've won.

Ah, okay, thanks. Yeah, when they announced him as back they did indicate it wasn't a full go type of thing either. So however they worked him in would've been limited. Did Gangwish play? Was he full go?

    4. NebraskaHarry

      NebraskaHarry

Gangwish was out there. I don't think a lot, but I remember him getting after it when he was.

  22. NFL experience. Nice guy. Likes to throw the ball all over the field. Off to a terrible start. Sound familiar??

  23. Riley will make $3 MILLION this season. AHAHAHAHA
