  1. Something about his name just seems so Wisconsin.
  2. I don't understand why you have such negative feelings towards him. He was a top 15 CB by most ratings. He had 40 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, and 12 pbu. If you watch any corner long enough you will find plays where he gets beat, but Lamar was by far our most talented defender.
  3. Not only this, but those plays were there if the other receivers executed their blocks. I'm not sure if you could see it on TV, but most of those failed plays were due to a WR or TE blocking the wrong guy or completely whiffing on his block.
  4. I would only miss games for weddings or funerals. Now they have fallen way down the priority list. Kid's sporting events and social outings come before the game now. The good news is I am saving about $200 from not having to buy PPV games anymore. Thanks BTN!
  5. Maybe we were as committed as he was. If he was going to look at other schools while committed then we were going to look at other LB's. There's not much room to be upset when you were treating someone the same way they were treating you.
  6. No more tip-toeing around this.  I'm just going to say it...the tunnel walk sucked this year and expectations were set pretty low after last year's version.

I loved the red light effect, but that was usually in between the 3rd and 4th quarters wasn't it?  Also, why didn't they do that in the Iowa game?

I say the tunnel walk sucks at the beginning of the year and get bashed for it. Another guy makes the exact same claim after the season is over and people actually agree. Strange

I think they did go red with the lights but it was daytime.

  7. Why did we try out guys from the men's soccer team, but not anyone from the women's team? There has to be someone on campus who can kick it over the lineman.
  8. Here's to hoping we see the same 2nd half improvement that we saw last year!

  9. Bob Heffner - Asst Coach Craig Berube - St. Louis Blues Coach
  10. Or that he apparently plays on the o-line. He broke a 69-yard run against a D-1 defense as a 7 year old and the coaches have him blocking!
  11. What is wrong with JD fielding punts? He already has a TD return this year and is ranked 11th for average return yards. We aren't talking about putting Santino Panico back there. JD is one of the best returners in the country. Why mess with that?
  12. I knew we should have redshirted Adi Kunalic.
  13. It seems to me like completion percentage was pounded into his brain so hard that he is afraid to throw an incompletion. It's almost like he has the yips when it comes to throwing a ball on time. Even his touchdown to JD was after the play broke down and he was all by himself. Combine that with happy feet and he doesn't have a chance. He needs to get back to having "no fear of failure" and just let it rip. I don't remember him having any timing on time with WRs other than the one Wandale dropped and even then it was slow developing and wide open.
  14. Are you liking your own posts? Who would possibly agree with this?
  15. I had prom there back in the day.
  16. There were times last year when I thought AM should have thrown in Stanley's direction even more. Just about every QB has a favorite WR they favor. This is also because coaches use their best WRs as the primary reads of passing plays. I would be more concerned if Martinez didn't utilize one of the best WRs in school history as much as he did.
  17. My least favorite thing about following recruiting is airing out a kid's academic situation. I guess it comes with the territory but it's disturbing to me to see strangers discussing the grades of a high school student just to make sure he can qualify to play football. No one really knows the situation and the ones who do shouldn't be sharing it anyway.
  18. I feel like a Fong CB is almost stealing the commitment announcement from the recruit. He pretty much only posts a CB when he has some pretty concrete evidence.
  19. Well one is true and one is not. Nash's dad is also not looking to get on every TV outlet to spew nonsense or try to promote his new clothing brand. If I want to avoid the Hutmachers, all I have to do is stop following him. Ignoring the Balls has been much more difficult.
  20. I can't stand Dan Hoppen. I don't understand what makes him qualified to have a segment to himself. The worst part for me is that they all think he is some renowned food critic, which just adds to his arrogance. He can have his opinion, but it's usually wrong.
  21. If I really wanted to help the team, I would use up one of Iowa's official visits and take up their time and effort to recruit me. I would even commit to them and make them think I'm solid. Then on signing day I would flip to Nebraska and leave them scrambling to fill a spot with their 5th choice. Unfortunately, you just don't see recruits who are team players these days.
  22. As much passion as there is in the state for the Huskers, it really doesn't have the national prominence that ND has. The following that Nebraska has isn't any bigger than any other traditional power. If schools with much larger alumni bases (i.e. Texas, Ohio St., Florida) don't go the independent route, then there's little reason for me to believe Nebraska would have success doing it.
  23. Not to mention the flexibility it gives us running the hurry up when this personnel group can go from 2 backs to 4 wide, or even better, if we have a TE who can also line up as a full back. I can't imagine many defenses would be able to adapt to all the possible formations.
