  1. Need to go take a look at @Mavric's scholarship chart he maintains. I'd love to know just how many we're going to have to process/get to walk-on for a semester to get back down...
  2. +1, Allen looks to lack some top end speed to put it away after he breaks out. That, or he's just even more cocky than he already appears and he runs slow on purpose lol. Half of his runs are him turning around at the 30 and starting to slow down. Hey, I'll take some RB confidence.
  3. One takeaway I did have from film - he looked a lot bigger than 5'11, 180lbs. He seemed a lot bigger than the some of the players around him.
  4. Sr year highlights - http://www.hudl.com/v/2GLEsR Lateral quickness is insane. Watch the run at 1:05 for a glimpse
  5. Unsure how legit this is, especially because no one locally picked it up or talked about it... but the backup freshman QB at Omaha North has an SEC offer?
  6. That was from Schafer and it was a year ago. I would assume the silence means he isn't going to qualify.
  7. Burn it all down

  8. Excited for this guy, I think he's in if we tell him he can commit.
  9. Really excited about our offer, looking at Michigan and Michigan St and will try to be back here this spring for practice/potential spring game.
  10. And Rivals says we're the favorite after talking to him personally. Unclear where the "he's going elsewhere" comes from.
  11. I think Rivals shared the number - the low-end estimate for Martinez's income last year was $200k. Assuming he makes similar, he can afford a couple of nights out.
  12. Something is bugging me tonight as I'm thinking about the OL - I've seen a lot of sentiment similar to "the portal isn't over, wait to see who we can grab in May" Am I crazy for thinking that anyone we get in May will be leaving because they couldn't start at their current school? I guess, not starting at another school still makes it very plausible you're better than our starters lol. But I don't think we'll see impact type guys in May.
  13. Can Donovan Raiola do something that hasn't been done at Nebraska in 10 years - recruit the interior offensive line...
  14. Update - Will Honas was so confident in his LB room he’d rather walk on at KState.
  15. We haven’t brought in a single transfer LB. It is a critique of the leader in the room. I love the transfer portal. Seems to work well for the Mickey Joseph and Travis Fishers of the world. edit: I’ll throw in Tony Tuioti too, he loves the transfer portal.
  16. Having too much fun with all of the offers going out, decided to take a stab at updating this list. Curious who you think is missing - caveat, prospects who have shown interest/we legitimately have a shot with. TONS of talent in the 500 mile radius. 2023 Big Board 2023 Profiles Current Scholarships/Commits QB - Avery Johnson, JJ Kohl RB - Dylan Edwards WR - Malachi Coleman, Andre Davis, Joshua Manning TE - BENJAMIN BRAHMER OT - GUNNAR GOTTULA, Cayden Green, Kadyn Proctor, Charles Jagusah OG/C - Zak Yamauchi DL - Chandavian Bradley, David Borchers, Andrew Depaepe ILB - OLB - Maverick Noonan, Tausili Akana, Denzel Moore, Kennedy McDowell, Asa Newsom, Blake Purchase (missing a profile, is offered) CB - Braeden Marshall S - Sylvester Smith, Watts McBride
  17. New prize of the transfer portal - FCS All-Americans ^. Take them all day over JUCOs or D1 transfers who didn't cut it for whatever reason at their old school. Excited to add Omar Brown.
  18. Man, if this staff can lock down the 500 mile radius with all the new recruiting prowess... 2023 is massive in the Midwest.
  19. Omar Brown (FCS All American CB) is in the UNL Student Directory...
  20. So this is what it's like to have a staff taking recruiting seriously again... offers everywhere. Love it.
  21. I mean, I’m not crazy man - here’s Sharp and Benning week saying the same thing. TL;DR - Ruud’s credibility in Omaha is questionable and his recruiting pitch doesn’t resonate. “Who calls you matters, kids notice”, and they’re glad to see Joseph and Chinander get involved at schools that were previously Ruud’s responsibility.
  22. Really don't understand the "he's only good because his holes were huge, he won't have that here" http://www.hudl.com/v/2GUcCF He routinely follows his blocks extremely well, and there quite a few runs in here even just in the first couple of minutes where he runs into a total mess between the tackles and comes out the other side at full speed.
