  1. haha i deleted that because I didnt want 50 people to say, "yeah right dude." Shes alright I guess. Im not going to lie....shes no bombshell, and definitely lacks the brainpower to be at major university. Im not posting pics from her facebook....we have went out together like 5 times....im not a creep
  2. @pennst vs Indiana @MSU vs NEB @ NW If michigan makes it through that gauntlet with one loss, they deserve the legends, unless its to us.
  3. Lets not forget Sparty. MSU has won 4 of the last five and the only loss was last year by 2 points in Ann Arbor.
  4. yeah, this thread is more about Michigan. Buuuuuuuut Northwestern is widely considered one of our tougher games, as people think they outplayed us last year. Although they can be misleading, I like to put some numbers up to prove my points.
  5. Lets take a look at some notes from Northwestern 2012 and determine the issue we had twice as many first downs 3 times as many pass yards Ameer had 5ypc and 120 yds without having a rush over 20 yards besides the 80 yard run, Mark avg 2 ypc Penalties and time of possession were relatively close TURNOVERS Nebraska 4 Northwestern 0 I think we have our answer, ladies and gents. Even if we limited it to one turnover we would have won by two touchdowns. 1st quarter Ameer fumbled a punt at like our 15 yard line. Led to touchdown NW is punting out of their own endzone, kenny muffs it instead of being one capable first down from points On about a 30 yard reception, kyler fumbles....ending a good drive 4 and 3 and taylor takes a sack. TOD To start the 4th we take a sack and two consecutive penalties later, drive over leading to a short NW td. Northwestern didnt almost beat us. We almost beat us.
  6. interesting note here. Iowa interviewed Stoops. He wanted that job. They told him sit tight for a week. Weve got one more guy to interview. (Ferentz) in the meantime OU swooped in and snagged him, leaving Iowa to spend a ton of money on a guy they didnt really want haha. Sucks to be you nerds.
  7. You can definitely tell the local writers are frustrated with the lack of access this year. Heres an example.
  8. This is why im excited about the defense. Not because theyre world beaters, but because we have depth and versatility at every position group. We can rotate freely, (which we will do in order to matchup with their personnel) and not miss a beat. That way injuries are less impactful, we constantly have fresh legs, and were still getting several guys experience, which is key for long term success. Oh, and one more thing. Competition speeds up growth, and mental toughness. I love that we have it everywhere. We dont have to bank on guys to have a big year (like cam or baker last year) because if one guy isn't hacking it, there's another equally talented guy waiting in the wings. Im talking to you Ankrah.
  9. I just ask that husker fans be patient with these young players being thrown into the fire.
  10. Yea Lo, sh**ty news and bad news at the same time. Still, some guys are really gonna have to step up at DT. This defense is not ever going to work without somebody making things happen at DT. Period. Who's gonna be the guy I wonder. Also iowahusker09, I think ZA is a lock for a starting job. I don't think there's even a question. Sometimes I think the less we hear about some guys it seems to be the better. IMO, there's no way ZA isn't a starting LB'er this season. Question is where? I heard he was working outside but then I also heard possible move to inside LB? I like him at MLB honestly. Santos is MLB with Zaire and Afalava winging him, although Santos is a natural OLB. He is playing MLB because he knows the defense and calls best. I think (ideally) they wanted Rose/Banderas to develop into a starting MLB and move everyone to where they play best - I think we will see quite a few backers on the field this year. Hmm. I guess I don't know. I thought I had heard it put that Zaire maybe should be the guy making the calls. Not sure though. Honestly though, either guy there is a real upgrade from last year. I was not a WC fan. I also agree, I think there are a lot of LB'ers that will see some time this year. Kind of an exciting position this year, which is strange considering how weak it was last year. one thing ill say about Compton is that he was awesome at reading/breaking up screens

I blame my ADD. I believe Zaire will be one of our premier players in our front 7 Anyway, you want ZA in the middle and throw santos in the will? So Oregonhusker, I was really excited about Rose out of high school, can we expect to see quite a few reps from him this year? Living in Iowa City and have been to Lincoln only a handful of times, its hard to get inside info. All I have is huskerboard and 1620 podcasts haha
  12. I feel like we havent heard very much about Anderson this fall. Interesting considering the spring he had. Props to Banderas coming on strong as a FR to grab some reps
  13. That's the fact. Oklahoma had much lower academic and IQ standards. Most OU players dumb as a rock and never participated in the weekly Q&A presser because too dumb! Did you go to Oklahoma? Sorry, im the grammar police haha
