  1. If for no other reason, MJ’s clock management w 10m left in this game should remove him from consideration for HC.
  2. Makes sense. And I must admit, I’ve given up hope of him meeting any metrics. But I would love to see those metrics leaked in a year or more just for a peak behind the curtain.
  3. That’s not how I read it. Following is what was said back in November. If still accurate the buyout doesn’t go back up until renegotiation or extension. Nebraska coach Scott Frost’s new contract buyout goes into effect Oct. 1, 2022. If fired next year, he’s owed $7.5M (down from $15M) on a prorated basis, $5M in 2023, $2.5M in 2024 and $1.25M in 2025. If fired without cause before Oct. 1, 2022, the old buyout remains effective.
  4. That’s exactly the question that should be asked. Frost paid $7.5m to buy himself up to Oct 1st to prove he can turn things around. He’s already sh1t the bed. Beating Oklahoma is the only thing that should prolong his tenure and it can’t stop there. Like the Helton/usc article in the other thread alludes to, keep him on and the cancer grows.
  5. 7.5m reasons to wait for Oct 1, then Husker football will be interesting again.
  6. Enough NIL money can give sufficient short term warmth.
  7. If we all squint just right………TO?
  8. Technically 6 but your point is accurate in 4: Illinois - down 9-30 (TD at 2:45 left) Oklahoma - down 9-21 (TD at 5:38 left) Michigan - down 7-19, but did retake lead Minnesota- down 16-30 (TD at 1:12 left) Purdue - down 17-28 (TD at 1:44 left) OSU - down 10-23 (TD at 15:22 left) (hard to believe our largest deficit of the year was to Illinois) But on an entirely different point, we were also up and blew leads: Illinois - up 9-2 early Michigan St - up 20-13 very late Michigan - up 29-26 very late Purdue - up 17-14 late in Q3 Iowa - up 21-6 late enuf
  9. 100%. The only change might be October as I’ll not be surprised to be 2-4 at the 1st bye week or 2-6 at the 2nd. Expecting TA to cut bait and start fishin early.
  10. With all due respect, I think the wrong question is being asked here. The right question is when will a faint glimmer of hope for Husker football re-appear in your heart? For me, the answer is Oct 2nd, 2022 when our record is 3-3 (at very best) and Trev announces the firing of Frost.
  11. Commentator mentions Tommy Armstrong Junior, and he appears with a YOLO bomb.
  12. I learned that when frost says things like he told the group this week that if you want to play in the NFL, you’ll have longer stretches than this to deal with, I should read between the lines. He could see they were running out of gas.
