  1. This kid could play in the spot of Marlow. Use him as a slot/wingback and run reverses or short slants.
  2. This kid will be the Rex Burkhead of the defense. He is so committed to the team and sounds like he will do anything to help out.
  3. All I can say is WOW...I love the fact that he does have his guys back and that just showed it.
  4. Even though the two teams are going through a rough patch, mainly them, this game brings more to the table then anyother game on our schedule, besides Michigan maybe. The tradition of both schools, the winning, and the overall presence of this game is just what make college football so special. I can't wait.
  5. Mods can delete if want...We have a big game tomorrow and all anyone wants to talk about is Bo this, Bo that or Martinez this, Martinez that. Come on guys, get a grip on things and realize that last weeks game is over and start paying attention to the things we have in front of us.; I don't care to hear about the Wiscy game or anymore of how so-so sucked in it. Lets beat the HELL out of tOSU and move on to greener pastures. GO BIG RED!!!
  6. Go after him...He would be the best passer on our team as soon as he stepped on campus. Isn't this what most people want cause thats what I have been reading for the last 6 days.
  7. Out of curiosity, when's the last time you were able to even hear a first hand practice report? I'm sure you think Brion, or any football player for that matter, would be open with a random near middle aged man who approached him randomly with questions. Heck, I'm going to ask a stranger about his 401k tomorrow and expect him to tell me all about it. You won't have to ask, I will tell you that my 401K is doing real good believe it or not. I invested into armchairs before the seasson started and the price of my stocks have skyrocketed in the last 5 weeks, especially in Nebraska. It's kind of weird, but great for me.
  8. http://twitter.com/#...660884497088512 and if anyone has a right to be mad at their qb, it would be the wrs. Kenny Bell is probably one of the best kids on the team, and well liked. Heard him in a few interviews and he is as well spoken a kid as we have as well. With that said, I think it speaks more that of the many football players that have Twitter, only about 3 (past and present that I have seen) have even said a word about this little 'movement'. If it wasn't for Kenny and Yoshi, I doubt I would have even read that Twitter account before I got on the board tonight. Personally, I don't see the need and why Taylor is that hurt after one loss. When he was winning, he would gloat to folks in class and teammates at practice about how good he was doing. But then he loses a game, and suddenly he doesn't want to hear the other end of the spectrum. When you are the QB, it comes with the territory. Try being Garrett Gilbert, or even in recent Husker history, Jammal Lord. If you want to see QBs who got more criticism than they ever deserved, it would be those guys. What Taylor has gotten is a walk in the park compared to what most QBs have to struggle with. I called it from the very beginning that Gilbert was overrated. Just because he played during the NC game against Alabama doesn't mean a thing. Overrated or not, he still beat us. I would honestly take Gilbert if he wanted to transfer here.
  9. That is a nice looking truck. I hope you love yours as much as I love mine. I have a Black one that I decked out in chrome.
  10. It has to make Taylor feel good that his teammates have his back and are not dogging him also. I think this whole situation will make the team closer and focus more. They all talk about being family, this is showing it.
  11. Or just tell her to shut her c**k holster...Too much?
  12. I think it was on Andrus Peats interview with Rivals when Todd Sr. said that Junior called home not to long ago and said that he absolutely loves Bo and would run through walls for him. This would be music to my ears if my kid was playing for him.
  13. I bet he was trying to plank on it and it just fell off the wall.
  14. Society has changed for the worse in the past 5-6 years. Honestly when was the last time you saw a parent tell their kid to shut up, work hard and wait your turn? Not very often. Parents want to relive their childhood dreams so bad through their kids it isn't funny. I help officiate pee-wee and Jr high games. I've seen parents come out of the crowd and demand that coaches play their kid when he barely has the skills to touch the ball. I've seen kids play on 2 or 3 teams over the course of a few years as mom and dad try to bounce them from club team to club team trying to figure out where the most playing time is. Kids don't have to work for things now days they expect mom and dad or someone, anyone to give it to them regardless of their talent level. Hell even now you read about parents going to a job interview before their kids to make sure the company is "good enough" for their child to work at. Thats why people gravitate towards a Rex Burkhead because he was raised the right way. I bet the coaches could put him on the 3rd team right now and he wouldn't change a bit from who he is. Its too bad there aren't 5000 able kids like that out there to play sports. This is the absolute truth...Kids are pansy asses these days because of everything you have stated and its not going to get any better.
  15. I laughed...I like booze also.
  16. Adding to this, it also gives you an extra defender, the OB.
  17. I understand what you're saying, but do you wonder what that would do further to his mental status? He would then start wondering if he just lost the starting job and we'd be going down that road now. I agree with Brion getting some snaps, it'll only help him and I myself wondered why Martinez was out there in the 4th quarter. We obviously weren't going to win that game so get some other guys some experience, protect your starters no matter how crappy they played, and look forward to next week. This is when you need a QB coach that is not your OC and can be down on the field to help calm nerves. Martinez was rattled and needed to collect his thoughts and acually see what was going on 2nd hand instead of up front. I'm not calling for Carnes to be the starter from here on out, just thought it would have been a good move to let Martinez sit a series or two to calm down and get Carnes in there.
  18. What we need is Stafford at backer along with David and have PJ and Osborne as safeties. Stafford is a tackling machine like David and has the quickness to get to the edge and make plays. Keep Compton at middle and let the other two patrol the outsides.
  19. I don't think it would have been terrible to put Carnes in for a series or two to let Martinez collect his bearings and calm down.
  20. 9). athletic department invested alot into KY stocks.
  21. I know this is what they(wiscy)will look like tomorrow morning after the loss tonight.
  22. There are maybe 3-5 teams that make the SEC relivant and are consistent at winning or beating other top teams. This has only been happening for the last decade. The deal that pisses me off about the SEC is the lack of control that these winning teams have over their programs and the fact that the NCAA turns a blind eye to them.
