  1. Every recruit has already watched all of those videos and done that google search before Bo visits their living room. If it was as damaging as you think then Bo would never be in the living room in the first place.
  2. You're claiming that the first X number of hits on a google search is the reality of a person's character?
  3. We are less than three months away from the Spring Game.

First Wednesday in February is when they usually do it. Two weeks from today.

  4. Nick Saban makes more than Bo and still has sideline explosions. Another fly in the ointment.
  5. What's weird is that you're doing here what you get mad at Bo for doing in the game. You are way overreacting to the situation with a wild analogy. You even admitted it when you said you knew plenty of people would disagree with you for that analogy. So how is your overreaction any different than Pelini's? Mine isn't seen by 15 million people - and I don't represent the University/state? So do as I say not as I do.

  7. Bo getting pissed off at refs is in the same ballpark as an abused wife justifying spouse abuse. Way to go full retard, man. I read so many things on here that yell lack of perspective, but this is just . I understand the point you're trying to make, but man are you way off in your effort. Same ballpark? I wouldnt call it the same country. Anyway.. People want to criticize his behavior and so on and use it as an excuse (not a reason, and EXCUSE) for why this team is getting beat or things turn south. Here's some numbers. So many were so riled up after the bowl loss about us being 10-7 in our last 17 games. But think about this. Everybody knows Bo has tuned it down subtantially after the A&M game last year, and that's when this little skid began. Before that? We won 15 of 17, with Bo supposedly in excessive maniac mode. So it can be suggested that the team is better of with Bo acting the way he used to on an overall basis. I don't think you meant to quote me did you? It seems like you're talking to kchusker-chris not me.
  8. He lost me. I was a Bo supporter (still am in other regards), one of those people that thought he'd changed (or could change). I was seeing it different 10 weeks ago. I excused his behavior as passion. Tollerated it with the wins. Defended him as best I could. Not any more. He has no excuse IMO. It's not acceptable. It needs to change. It can't happen - and we can't be successful so long as it continues to. The margin for error is just too small. When you're a 25ish ranked team you can still get your 9 wins w/ that going against you. When you're a top 5 team...that might be the margin of difference in a game. Now, don't confuse my opinion of this aspect of Bo...with my opinion of his coaching ability or fit for this program. I support Bo there, I want him to be here. I dont' agree w/ some of his staff decisions, and am strongly against his sideline tirades. But I like the guy as our coach. I just don't like being embarassed he's our coach once or twice a season. Nick Saban does it and just won the championship. We are only having this discussion because we lost the bowl game. That is the perspective everyone lacks in the last few weeks. If we win that game we're not in panic mode not in blame everybody mode not in the world is coming to an end mode. You say Bo needs to change and he has changed. Instead of seventy explosions he had ten this year. But since we lost the game he exploded in last we get all the outrageousness of posts like these.
  9. His bowl game referee chewing wasn't as bad as people are saying. If you think so then we're just going to have to agree to disagree. If you think he lost everything in one angry reaction to some really bad calls, you were never going to see it any different.
  10. If you had read, I wasn't equating his outbursts to a man beating his wife. That's your words. I was equating a fan's use of passion as an excuse for Pelini's outburts, to a wife's use of love as a reason for her tolerance of abuse. Do you see it as much different? Both are slightly delusional, both twist the reality behind the event. The seriousness of the event is irrelevent. Those are the same thing in my opinion. You have a point that Bo needs to calm down on the sidelines but you ignore that he has and that this year he was a different coach than before. You are reacting as if he just had an outburst like Texas A&M or Virginia Tech when he had a really calm year. There were a lot of times we were getting screwed on calls and Pelini did nothing. That doesn't seem to be making it into your equation and that makes it really hard to take you seriously.
  11. It adds to the discussion to equate a football coach reacting to BS calls to spousal abuse? There is a lot of room for criticism for Pelini and he makes it easy on people without having to go so far overboard in your comparison that you end up looking silly.
  12. Bill Callahan never wanted to come here in the first place and he isn't coming back here to celebrate the glory days of his coaching stint at Nebraska. What would we celebrate? The Alamo Bowl win? Purify in the end zone against A&M? The good times were few and far between under Callahan.
  13. Bo getting pissed off at refs is in the same ballpark as an abused wife justifying spouse abuse. Way to go full retard, man.
  14. You missed the boat on this one bub. You can't try to steal someone else's thunder this late in the game.
  15. I don't think it's right for any of us to respond without knowing how your wife feels about this first.
  16. Yep, the sky is falling. Everyone panic. None of this is happening if we win the bowl game. That's how "real" this huge, huge, huge, huge problem is that everyone is panicking about in this thread. If we win the bowl game this thread doesn't exist, people aren't quitting on the team and nobody is worried about how their friends talk about the team. One half of bad football in a meaningless bowl game and we're gifted with an offseason of this.
  17. Worst thread of the year candidate. Brandon Kinnie doesn't like your NBA team. So you cry about it. And you do it publicly so everyone can see it.
  18. If he's going to jump on the Alabama bandwagon, what's he going to do in five years when they have back to back season like they did in 2006 and 2007 where they lost seven games and then six games?
  19. If people were looking for the fair weather fans, here's one. When you are a fan of a team you stick with that team through the good times and the bad. You don't jump ship because you decide you don't like the coach or where the team is at today. You stick it out and wait for it to get better. The funny thing is, it is better now. People keep posting stuff about how we are one of eight teams to be ranked each of the last three seasons, and one of six teams to win nine or more games in the last four seasons. If being in that company isn't good enough for you, then don't let the door hit your butt on the way out. And you won't be missed. You aren't that important to this team or the fan base. You are just one person. The ideas embodied in the first post are exactly opposite of what the Huskers stand for. It isn't about wins or titles. Those just happened to come along the way. It has always been about making young men better, and playing good football came second.
  20. Like saying our greatest defense ever isn't as good as Alabama's defense? Got it.
  21. I figured it out. Your wife reads this thread, and the more you defend her, the more she makes it worth your while right? I see where this is going. Carry on with defending your wife. I hope you get some from all of this.
