  1. Tommie Frazier was one of the greatest quarterbacks to play college football. I don't think Crouch had more ability than Frazier.
  2. me too --- 10 or 11 win seasons are what NU needs to have as a norm --- 10 wins in a "down" year, 11 wins in a "normal" year, and 12 or more in good years. Averaging at 11 wins. That would be play that would win conferences semi-regularly and be in the BCS with semi-regularity. That is, I would assume, the goal. So basically you want the 90s run as a norm, not once every generation or so. That's totally realistic. Which schools do that? Who should Nebraska be imitating?
  3. What if you just did their initials intertwined?
  4. I agree with this. He didn't exactly light the world on fire with his offense this year.
  5. Why wouldn't they be? Cuz I hear more about Suh than I hear about either one of them. If you let the press dictate to you how you feel about your team then you're going to be one sad fan.
  6. My point is that it is hard to find program-level positives... about the team as a whole. \finding individuals to post positively about is pretty easy and this I do with regularity. It is overall team assessment and the look to the immediate future that is tough to do. I must have missed that post. Positives about the whole program are bowl game in each of Bo's years here, winning bowl record under Bo, at least nine wins every year under Bo, academic all-americans under Bo continue to keep pace with other coaches, last year's recruiting class with Ameer Abdlullah and Jamal Turner, the stadium and fans are program level things. See? It's not hard to find positives. It's just really easy to bitch about the few negatives and let them take over your impression of the team.
  7. To find America’s 10 safest cities, we looked at metropolises with populations above 250,000. We ranked them by violent crime rates—the number of violent crimes (murder, forcible rape, robbery and aggravated assault) per 100,000 residents in 2010, as reported by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. We also ranked each city on the traffic-fatality rate per 100,000 residents based on 2009 data, the most recent available, from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. We then averaged the ranking for each city to arrive at final scores. In the event of ties, the city with the lower crime rate got the higher ranking. Here are America's five safest cities: #5 Lincoln, NE Car fatality rank: 1 Violent crime rank: 16 Lincoln, NE is NO. 5 on the safest cities list. Plano Texas is the safest city in America. Someone should interview Rex Burkhead and ask him what it's like moving from a safe city like Plano to a crime-ridden city like Lincoln. http://realestate.ya...ities-2011.html
  8. Is that the set where Tony Jerod-Eddie reaches out and grabs your nards?
  9. It's not that hard to find positives to post about. You just have to want to do it. We have guys like Lavonte David and Rex Burkhead on the team. Walk-ons earning starting roles, up-and-coming coaches, more wins than losses, a great stadium, fun and interesting fellow fans, all kinds of stuff. I will never understand the people who never praise the team they love. I wonder if they treat their girlfriend or wife the same way they treat the team.
  10. So you're saying Gomes should be embarrassed for failing to bring down a guy having a career game, who outweighs him by 65 lbs and who stands eight inches taller than him? Yeah. That's terribly embarrassing.
  11. skersfan's posts in this thread: I would hate to see you when you're down on the team!
  12. I'm sorry I don't have an answer for you. I just want to thank you for serving in the armed forces.
  13. That seems like a perfect match. Congratulations coach Gill. Good luck.
  14. Spurrier's recruiting class is ranked 16th by Rivals and 13th by Scout. I don't think banning Twitter hurt him too much in recruiting.
  15. Just this past year Turner Gill, Chris Petersen from Boise St. and Steve Spurrier from...um.... some team out east, banned Twitter. That took about ten seconds to google. A bunch of basketball coaches ban their players from Twitter too. It's not rare. It's not censorship.
  16. I should stencil the words "The Influence" on the roof of my car so every time I drive I drive under the influence and make teachercd's prediction true. 100% of the time.
  17. You are a teacher you are supposed to be smarter than all of us.
  18. You're a little butt hurt about all the Ball-Burkhead discussion aren't you? I don't blame you but you gotta consider this is a Husker site. Badgerfan has a point. I mean, Reggie Ball is a great representative of Wisconsin Badger Awesomeness.
