  1. Thanks for participating. I don't agree, I think it makes both program look bad, especially Detroit's. He was one of the best payers the Huskers had, so he thinks he can get away with anything. How does what Suh does today reflect on Nebraska? He's been away two years now. You're really reaching with this premise. For the same reason that we see Johnny Rogers, Eric Crouch, Mike Rozier and Suh on the sidelines at games. They will always be a public figure that represents the Huskers. Just like when Rogers got arrested for robbing a liquor store. Suh has made a huge splash in the NFL that Johnny Rodgers, Eric Crouch, Mike Rozier never made. He's branded into the NFL now with the Lions. When he gets in trouble, nobody thinks, former Husker Ndamukong Suh did this or did that, they see him in his Lions jersey and think Lions player Ndamukong Suh did this or did that.
  2. Because the NCAA allows it and monitors the gifts. They are only allowed to give so much of a dollar amount to each athlete. http://www.ncaa.org/...tes+can+receive Not only that, but I think the ncaa monitors gifts given to the players from their schools during the year and counts that against what they can get from the bowls. Like those gold pants the Ohio State players got have a monetary value and that counts against their bowl swag... or something like that.

  4. If you were interested in having a discussion you would just have recapped or copied your blog piece in this thread. My opinion is your opinion that Suh is embarrassing the school is silly, and most likely it's ultra-silly so you'll get a reaction, and more page hits, and you'll have a bigger audience for your next story.
  5. Won't that happen with any candidate we bring in who's any good? If they suck they'll stick around for a long time, but if they're good they will be moving on and moving up. The years of all the assistancts staying on like we had under Osborne are gone. Nobody is going to stay an assistant on a staff for 20 years anymore.
  6. He has that incident in Lincoln to where he somehow got off with no charges. Portrays the whole program at Nebraska very poorly. Right, because in that incident he did nothing legally wrong and being the only witness he could say what ever he needed to say to get himself out of trouble. It happens all the time to less famous people. Exactly So where were you trying to go with that? He's just trying to drive traffic to his blog. Pretty obvious.
  7. He has that incident in Lincoln to where he somehow got off with no charges. Portrays the whole program at Nebraska very poorly. Cool blog, bro. Thanks. I got another one here. Putting up an article about the bowl game soon. Read my sig.

  9. That is true. That's just how it works. I don't understand why people like it.
  10. Why do you think Marvin Sanders, a coach in apparently good standing, just up and left Nebraska without former notice and hasn't even sniffed another coaching job since then?
  11. Did you guys read the yahoo article about how corrupt the BCS is? And you have people like craig james putting Boise at 24 so they get a bad bowl game and all the coaches who made really bad ballots at the end to make their opponents look better and stuff. The bowl system is a corrupt disaster but people still support it. It is weird.
  12. If you were given a million bucks to bet on the 2009 Sugar Bowl, you'd put it on Alabama. And you'd lose that million. Bama was a ten point favorite in that game and lost by 14.
  13. Big League Chew, however, is not...time to pick apart some smashed up strands and have a go at it. Oh man. I just saw those other tags. Funny stuff.
  14. They did. ...and they missed it in Ames Just like Alabama missed it. Oops.
  15. I thought for sure he would wear his hairpiece for the news conference.
  16. Why? He is a great coach. Word was when he left for Indiana..............it was a mutually satisfying decision for all parties ......................... Which is correct, he couldn't stand working for Bo. Wrong. He played at KSU while Carl was an assistant there, and he knew who Bo was from that stint. He then went on to catch his first break in college coaching as a grad assistant under Bo Pelini at Oklahoma. He followed Bo to LSU and he knew who and what Bo was back then before he again followed Bo to Nebraska. He didn't just wake up one morning and realize he didn't like Bo. He got a promotion. People like to project their feelings onto others to detract on coaches or players they don't like. It's transparent.
  17. Have any two-year players made it under the big screen at Memorial Stadium? If anyone would, wouldn't Farley?
  18. He didn't stomp on it. He just lost his balance. That's right, I could see that...... Worst. Lie. Ever. As bad as "I swerved to avoid a dog."
