Justin Tomerlin was the one that immediately came to mind. He was going to be a Wistrom/Tomich DE that we desperately needed. I was so happy when we got him to sign.
A last minute surprise for us was Tommy Frazier. That wasn't so bad.
True, but I was thinking of a guy who was going to go to another school, that just picked us out of the blue like what happened for Michigan this year.
I think the big suprise was the fact that we offered him a schollie afterall and the sense that KSjUco was going after Wald as well.
I just wish that sometime before I die, we get some huge last minute change of mind to go in our favor like the Michigan's and USC's of the world get every year. Heck, I get excited to just not have one of our guys go someplace else
Tommie is my favorite football player ever; I have a signed print over my mantle. However, I have to admit Dee Dowis was the best true option qb I have ever seen.
I, for one, kind of believe this maybe true. I find it very troublesome that the coaches went out and recruited players to rebuild the walk-on program last week. When they did that, I interpreted it as being one of several steps that BC must do to keep his job.
perhaps beck was a bit full of himself telling everyone he allowed others to be recruited and that he was promised a starting postion. redshirt would allow a young player with big mouth to fing his place in the pecking order and then really show what he's got once he's matured.
