  1. If it's Miller at QB I say play zone in case he scrambles. Give him lots of different looks. Try and confuse him. If it's the other guy blitz.
  2. That police horse probably deserved it. Seriously, those mounties are dicks on game day... One thing I observed at Mardi Gras. You can pee in the street. Take your clothes off. Be somewhat unruly and the cops may or may not address it. But never, never ever touch a policeman's horse. Some guy smacked the horse on the rear and the policeman whipped the horse around and smacked him with his night stick and then 3 others pounced on him sending him to the ground and cuffed him. All in the blink of an eye. No warning. Don't mess with the horse. Not kidding. All fan bases have good and bad fans. Alcohol generally makes it worse. Some people don't help matters and bring it on themselves. I think our fan base may be polite because we have a lot of elderly fans and lots of kids. Just guessing.
  3. I wasn't a fan of the 15 straight passes but I agree that we had guys open. He's not making the right decisions. If the guys aren't open, use your checkdown. Rex was open in the flat a bunch of times. The TE/WR that came across underneath was open many times. Wisconsin plays deep. Take what they give you. Part of this is on the coaches they should be telling him this!!!! I also thought the line did fine and Cotton's/Garrison Group is making progress unlike the secondary. Getting beat deep at the end of the first half for a TD is hard to fathom.
  4. Yes Wisconsin looked like Nebraska of old and did what Nebraska use to do.
  5. On Beck? I would throw in the defense as well.
  6. Offensive line was okay. Wr were okay. Backs ok. QB has same issues. DL Interior tackles ok. Meredith Ok. Other re is an issue. David good. Other LB's suspect. Secondary is a disaster. Penalties came back. This reminded me of the mizzo game in Bo's first year.
  7. He he, but really, who cares? I don't get why they interview coaches during the game anyway. If I'm a coach I'd want to stay in my zone. I'd blow off anyone who tried to talk to me, halftime or not. They can get their soundbites later. Sounds like he did stop and give her feedback My apologies to Bo.
  8. Bo Bo Bo. You want to be a head coach, you need to do head coach stuff and that includes taking a minute to give the half time interview.
  9. I wish they would post a travel roster. I miss the old days.
  10. I like the BTN. They give balanced coverage to all the teams in the b1g unlike other networks who push certain teams.
  11. Could be a-rod earned the start because they are going to pass more.
  12. Years ago on some of the options I seem to remember the IB would take a jab step and the QB would reverse pivot. Or the QB would actually pause for a half count. I imagine that was to give the fullback a chance to get out front or make the LB take a false step. I actually felt they looked a lot better against Wyoming timing wise. It's getting better with practice.
  13. Doesn't matter who starts. They will rotate every 2 series and then in the second half if one guy is struggling the guy who is doing the best will be out there. That's what you want! I am hopeful that we will have fresh legs in the 4th.
  14. There are obstructed views under the deck. Those are not good seats. They should be discounted IMO.
  15. Can't wait to see a 5 man against the Badgers. I think that's a good idea.
  16. All Badgers Capitulate or we will cut the cheese ========================== Anytime, anywhere Barry Alvarez is Cornhusker at heart ============================ What happens when you mix Scarlet & Cream with Cardinal & white? A B1G Conflagration Go Big Red!
  17. I do not know if this is true.... I read somewhere they had about 170 plays that they can run or variations of plays if you will. If we have done 25% of the playbook that means we would of had to run 42 or 43 different variations of plays in 4 games. Did we? I don't know. (Variations can be running the same play but out of different formations.) I suppose it's possible. You saw new plays and old plays in each game and I expect the same for Wisconsin. They will game plan and develop a subset of plays from the playbook that they think will work against Wisconsin. Those will be the ones they practice all week. The plays they pick are based off of what Wisconsin does and what their personnel is like. What gets used is what we demonstrate we can execute during practice, what Wisconsin does during the game and field position, time & score etc... So maybe when it comes down to it you only do 25 or 50% of your game plan each game? Don't know. Would like to hear from former players or coaches about this again.
  18. They would never purposely all a sub par game as that would go against their mantra to improve each day. I do think they might call a vanllia game or have a simple game plan if that's all they think is required. I think they experiment sometimes. I am kinda wondering if we will see a 5 man DL line against Wisconsin. Maybe they aren't real sharp on their standard stuff because they have been messing around with other packages. Just some wild theories. I am just throwing mud at the wall.
