  1. I talked to my brother-in-law who’s a former D2 football player and the OC for another high school in Logan-Magnolia’s conference. He said Grant Brix is huge but thinks a redshirt year would help him transition to the D1 level.
  2. I didn’t know it at the time, but my in-laws go to the same church as Grant and his family. Last summer we were visiting family and went to church. When we were waiting for everyone to take Communion, I saw this massive young man with his tall Mom, big younger brother, and tall and wide-shouldered Dad go forward for communion. After the service, my father-in-law leaned over and said, “That’s the Brix Boy.” Whether or not he’s 6’6”, I can’t say, but he’s huge and so is his Dad. And my father-in-law said they are a really nice family. If I see them at Christmas, I’ll be sure to tell him GBR!
  3. Adidas does usually run wider on some models, but New Balance is the only one I know who makes wide shoes. I used to work at a New Balance store when I was in college. Before I got wider, better fitting shoes, I always but longer shoes. The longer or bigger the size the wider the shoe. But my right size wasn’t 13. It was 11.5 with a 4E width. I have to buy all of my shoes from them because I wear a 4E. I tell people I have Hobbit feet minus the hair! I’m not sure if you live near a New Balance store. That’s really the only place where they sell NB in different widths. If not, you can find them online at newbalance.com They can be more expensive. It looks like $139 online. I found 7 shoes online that are 2E width, which is wide. These mighty work for you. Hope this helps. https://www.newbalance.com/men/?prefn1=activity&prefv1=Basketball&prefn2=width&prefv2=Wide (2E)&srule=null

  7. Yeah, but I live in Vancouver. Still tired at 11:30 here though! GBR!
  8. My family and I just moved to Vancouver last spring, and we love our Huskers. I was born in Norfolk and raised in NE Nebraska. Wondering if there are any other Husker fans in the Lower Mainland of BC. It would be great to start a Husker watch party somewhere in the Lower Mainland, in Bellingham, WA, or even drive a few hours for a big game down to the Husker Watch parties near Seattle. GBR!
  9. He reminded me some of Dan Alexander. If Cross can develop into something like Alexander or better, wow! I think all of us would be pretty happy with that!
