  1. There are numberous reports that Assistant Coach Ben Johnson is leaving to take the same position at Minnesota. He is a Minnesota native. Ryan James ‏@RyanJamesMN53m Ben Johnson expected to be the next coach named to the staff but its not official yet. That's been the buzz all week. It would be a good hire Nam Huynh ‏@n_huynh1h New #Gophers assistant Ben Johnson is A native of Minneapolis. 31 years old. Has bachelor's degree in sociology from Minnesota in 2005 Robin Washut ‏@RobinWashut1h Reports are #Nebrasketball assistant Ben Johnson has accepted position on Rich Pitino's staff at Minnesota, just waiting to be finalized. Provided this holds up, who do you suppose Miles will get to replace? Do we try and get Chin Coleman back? (As that is one of the reasons he left, he wanted to coach) Does Eric Strickland get his chance? Anyone else? Who could we get (realistically) Also, Johnson was the lead recruiter in Smith who has about a week before he can sign his LOI, should we be worried? I wouldn't think so as Minnesota has showed no interest in him thus far.
