  1. I saw that Wrestling coach Mark Manning talked with the national radio program Takedown Radio, pretty good stuff: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVosd3xPN6Y
  2. I just read the articles from August 11 and 14 that were posted on Huskers.com; in particular, the piece that stood out to me was the Randy York N-Sider article on the impact that Jordan Burroughs is having on wrestling in general, as well as how his success has put Lincoln in a good light for wrestling nationally. If you haven't read this article yet, check it out. Yet, when you check out the BTN's coverage of wrestling, Burroughs coverage (unless I overlooked it), is virtually non-existent. Instead, we're treated to coverage of Jake Herbert, who didn't even medal because of perceived anti-American sentiment. Yet, Jordan Burroughs was able to win Gold... ...I guess what I'm wondering is if this coverage oversight by the BTN shows that perhaps we're not as included into the Big Ten fold as we'd like to think we are? Just food for thought. And an article to cover the greatness that is Jordan Burroughs. Damn proud he's a Husker.
  3. Good job for the guys on the first day! From what I could tell, we had eight of ten weight classes represented. Only one wrestler has been eliminated. Four made it to the quarterfinals, including at least one unranked that I saw. Three are still working their way through the consolation bracket. As far as I could tell, it looks like they award up to eight positions. Huskers sit tied for ninth in team standings. If nothing shows you the power of the the B1G in wrestling, this should - eight of the B1G wrestling teams in the top 15 at the national tournament. Very nice showing from the dominant conference in collegiate wrestling. Keep up the good work tomorrow, guys! Quarters and Semis tomorrow, along with the consolation brackets moving along.
