  1. Alright, so I got NCAA 14 and started a dynasty with Iowa State on Heisman. I'm not a tremendous player, but I've been playing in the series for about a decade, so I'd like to think I've got a few things figured out. Over the years, I've been a very strong defensive player, but this year the game totally has me vexed. I'm 3-3 so far, which doesn't bother me, it's what happens when the other team is on offense. Typical stat line from the season so far: Opposing quarterback: 23/25, 250 yards, 2 tds, 0 int Additionally the opposing offense reliably converts about 80% of their third down conversions, and I've managed to force a spectacular 2 turnovers in 6 combined games. I'm using the 3-3-5 this year, which has worked really well in the past, but not this year. My bag of tricks with it is empty. Anybody have any ideas about how to stop the defensive embarrassments on Heisman?
  2. MONTREAL, Canada, August 12. THE International Paralympic Committee's world swimming championships begins today in Montreal, and the American contingent will not feature one of its top stars from last year's Paralympics. On Sunday, Victoria Arlen was banned from competing in this year's world championships because the IPC believes Arlen's paralysis sustained after contracting a rare viral disease in 2006 has the chance to be cured, and thus, not be a permanent disability. That, in the eyes of the IPC, is grounds for excluding Arlen from competition this year -- and possibly for future meets. http://www.swimmingw...d-Championships I find this ruling, especially less than a week from the competition, heartbreaking. How can you say that a person who has a chance to be 'cured' is ineligible to compete? Everyone has a chance to have thier paralysis cured, no? Modern medicine advancements have shown that some incredible things can happen. I feel sorry for Victoria, and hope for her the best in getting the ruling reversed.

  4. http://floppingout.com/denver-broncos-running-back-knowshon-moreno-gettin-all-sauced-up/ I'm not really concerned about any Tebow nonsense that the article talks about, but I think it's hilarious that he has vanity plates like that!
  5. I am seriously questioning the D. The pelini's have never been able to shut down a semi-mobile qb, for example: Tyrod Taylor, Fresno states QB, and Russell Wilson to name a few. Look how Texas beat us last year, aside from our miscues they beat us by making their qb roll out to get 5-8 yards a play. They let these teams get in manageable 2nd and 3rd downs... What do you guys think?
