He did. Mom is from Nebraska but went to SMU. This would be a bigger coup than Raiola if we pulled it off.

I'm really not sure if the Huskers have the firepower to hang with the heavy hitters recruiting a Top 5 player in the nation.  Maybe being a 2026 guy will help if we can make significant progress on the field this year.

 

But word is we still have a puncher's chance.  He is a world-class weight man in track and wants to do both in college.  The Huskers having several guys currently doing both sports catches his eye.  Might also want to stay closer to home and Lincoln is closer than most.

When asked who's recruiting him the most, he said there are probably 20+ teams but mentioned Georgia, Missouri, LSU, Alabama, Florida, Oregon, Michigan, USC, Ole Miss, Penn State and Nebraska by name.  Says relationships, team success and the direction of the program are big factors for him.  

 

He said he has family in this area and he's had family play at Nebraska.  Must be fairly distant because he didn't know the names off hand; they played in the 80s.

 

Looking to visit Nebraska, Alabama, Georgia, Missouri, Arkansas, Texas A&M and Oklahoma this fall.  Was at USC and Oregon this summer.

 

Planning to decide next summer after taking OVs next spring.
