Worst way to lose in baseball

Recommended Posts

Gotta love baseball...

Rules be rules and he never tagged the batter after the dropped pitch, and didn't throw it to first base to complete the "out".

Pretty stupid by the catcher.  But pretty intelligent by the hitter to keep running and circle the bases.  Ump got it right.  Awesome!

Oof, That’s rough…plate umpire made the correct signals too.

My dad’s summer team lost on a BS walk off balk in the semis of a tournament. My buddy disengaged the rubber and separated his hands at the same time (everyone in the park knew he was stepping off), but opposing HC talked the umpire into a balk lol

Tough way to lose but gotta say I’m a bit glad that went down the way it did. Maybe some kids will learn to delay the celebration and make sure to finish the game. Have to believe the catcher thought he tagged him but he could’ve thrown it to 1st to be safe.

You are exactly right.  You have to complete the play and make sure the game is over before you start to celebrate.
