LennynSquiggy
I learned that we can make mistakes and overcome them in order to win. Good job guys. 1 6 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/101133-what-did-we-learn-northwestern-version/
BlackHillsHusker
Every team Nebraska plays should put double coverage on Fidone and have two guys spy Haarberg, he offense won't move the ball at all. 2 QB's added from the portal. Tony White should get a blank check to stay here. 8 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/101133-what-did-we-learn-northwestern-version/#findComment-2604895
ColoradoHusk
NU can play a clean game in the penalties category. Only 2 for 20 yards. Also, NU won a one-possession, game!!! 1 1 3 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/101133-what-did-we-learn-northwestern-version/#findComment-2604899
HuskersNC949597
What I learned from years leading up to this game: don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Thought they'd get beat after an inexcusably stupid, idiotic start to the game, but they corrected course and won. That's ok, better than never overcoming those bafflingly stupid mistakes and losing to a garbage Northwestern team because, in case anyone forgot, NEBRASKA DID THAT LAST YEAR. 1 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/101133-what-did-we-learn-northwestern-version/#findComment-2604901
Packerhuskerfan
It still might be a struggle to 6 wins particularly with all the injuries. I'll take it anyway we can get it, though. 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/101133-what-did-we-learn-northwestern-version/#findComment-2604902
VectorVictor
We learned that our third string QB isn’t a viable option for the field, otherwise we’d see Sims in Wildcat (assuming our OC has base level competence). Think about it—they’ll only put Sims in for a Wildcat play or three if they actually had another QB option. We don’t, so no Wildcat. We learned if we go bowling it will be because of our defense. Love the playcalling and we need more of that type of playcalling on offense. Calling draw plays in a spread set on third down isn’t gonna fool anyone when you haven’t thrown for s*** all day. Our OC doesn’t know how to involve our TEs in the passing game—they’re supposedly our best hands but they only get 2-4 balls their way. They should be getting 12-15 attempts per game, minimum. Screens, short out routes, flat routes toward the sideline instead of the middle. I’m glad we won, and bowling is legitimately possible. The question is, do we have *any* offense to help take us there? 3 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/101133-what-did-we-learn-northwestern-version/#findComment-2604903

(But every team could beat us). 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/101133-what-did-we-learn-northwestern-version/#findComment-2604905
Red Five
I learned (again) that our QB for next year isn’t on the roster. Also, what will it take for Sims to get a drive? 4 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/101133-what-did-we-learn-northwestern-version/#findComment-2604908
ColoradoHusk
I've learned that Nash Hutmacher has turned into a very good d-lineman. I was down on him prior to this season. It's good to see him get lighter, get quicker, and thrive in this scheme. 3 2 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/101133-what-did-we-learn-northwestern-version/#findComment-2604909
Red Five
I also learned we have someone named James Williams on our team. 3 1 1 3 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/101133-what-did-we-learn-northwestern-version/#findComment-2604911

Nash is thriving under the new coaches and scheme. 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/101133-what-did-we-learn-northwestern-version/#findComment-2604915

The 2 ints fidone was the intended receiver and I believe he also had a drop. That's 7 out of 17 pass plays. Fidone was targeted one other time, so actually 8 out 17 pass plays to the tight end.
