So it's gonna be punts and field goals that will provide the usual forehead slapping moments this year, huh?

Possibly, I heard from the 1890 practice that Nico O. and Jacob Hohl both made their field goals up to 47 yards out. If Tristan is hurt or gets the yips, Nebraska will have options. For punting, it is Buschini or bust. I don't think we want to rush Koch into the fire just yet.

If Buschini can't stop shanking, they might need to throw Koch into the deep end.

It’s crazy…as a program special teams were a strong point for the longest time with numerous guys going to the nfl….theyve been a huge headache the last few years. Just goes to show the importance of kicking with losing all of these close games!

Obviously have had just about everything go wrong (fumbles, picks, penalties), but you have to be able to flip the field and win some field position battles.  You also have to be able to hit a FG that is under 40 yards, but that's another story.

Time for Rhule to do one of those games we always see.  Find a punter on the roster.

This.  I thought after his performance last year they would have pushed him out the door for his 6th year and spent some cash to bring in a better punter.

I’m thinking they probably weighed that out. Not sure what that market looked like.

Sounds like punting last night was shank-tastic, from our 2 year returning starter on down.

It's such a silly thing to be bad at.  I'm sure the next Alex Henry isn't hiding out on the bench somewhere.  But out of 105+ D1 athletes you don't have a couple who can, at minimum, kick the ball to the other side of the field?
