What did we learn

I think this win will look better in a day or two. We are all a little hot about that second half.

The more I think about it, DR played a great game. Got bailed once by Rahmir, but that’s what teammates are for.

I actually thought Colorado had some speed on defense. They covered well.

Our fans are over here saying our receivers were the problem with not getting separation. We'll see as the season goes on, but I think we're going to find ways to move the ball.

I want to see more of Lloyd & Barney and less of the fullback/two tight end stuff. I really do. Open it up a bit more. But I get it, the solid pass protection and chip blocking stuff is good to get Raiola warmed up to the speed of the college game.

We do have weapons. Rhule will absolutely figure out how to best utilize them.

Our defense stopped "the best player in the country"

I knew we were good at defense but I didn't think we would contain him that well. My most optimistic score guess was 31-17. I was sure they'd score more than 10 (and the referees scored 7 of their 10 points).

Take that win any day. Would like to have seen the offense better in the 2nd half, but the so called penalties killed them. The defense was solid. Did what they needed to do. No turnovers was big. Alvano needs to figure it out still. Just keep building. Got things to work on, but much better to learn from a win than a loss.

Agree, can’t add much to this. Personally I would’ve liked to see us keep our foot on the gas through most of the 3rd, but I get it, eat clock and get out with a win. And going forward, that 2nd half is much more valuable to the team than blowing them out worse (which still would’ve been nice for us fans).

The “Lloyd motion across the field into a wheel route” play we almost hit for a TD in the 1Q was a great design.

I would expect to see that (and variants of it) again this season.

I would call his and his dad the most selfish people in the country.

Totally. Assuming we stay healthy, we have a roster on offense that can put up some points.
