Illinois, Purdue, Rutgers and Indiana will all be battles. Being solely focused on how we are a better team than last year (which we definitely are) fails to account for our how good our opponents are, which we really don't know conclusively three games in but thus far, all of those teams are gonna come ready to play.

UCLA is the only near guarantee left on the schedule imo, every other game is easily losable if for whatever reason we come out flat, a ball doesn't bounce our way, or we have bad injury luck. These games are also incredibly winnable, but we haven't seen this team face real adversity yet, and have no idea if they'll be able to shake the demons when our backs are against the wall late in the 4th.

I take it you didn't see what happened to Purdue this past weekend?

Ya... if we are really an improved team then we should be improved when it comes to beating bad teams by more than a field goal. I expect Indiana and maybe Rutgers to be tough games. I don't think Illinois and Purdue should be tough games.

That's a good question. I don't think it does, so, yeah, we do need to factor that in. Also, I wouldn't say it's reason to panic. What, we're slightly underperforming relative to our opponents three weeks in? I wouldn't panic at all. We look on track. Just that a double-digit win season seems to me something that I wouldn't put my hopes in yet. Like I said, I'm think 8-9 wins. Do that, win a bowl, that'd be great I think.

No doubt. I wouldn’t let a little disappointment get in the way of truly enjoying an eight or nine win season this year. :-)

We've seen the non-con.  Now comes the B1G season.

What say you Husker Nation?

9/20 Illinois

9/28 @ Purdue

10/5 Rutgers

10/19 @ Indiana

10/26 @ Ohio St

11/2 UCLA

11/16 @ USC

11/23 Wisconsin

11/29 @ Iowa

You should change the topic title to say "regular" season.

We are only 3/15 through the full season if my math is right.

Agree.

We beat Illinois on the road by 13 last year barely cracking 300 yards of offense and turning the ball over 3 times.

We beat Purdue by 17 last year completing 6 passes for 122 yards (73 on one play) and running for 155 yards.

I said 9.  I have gallons of kool aid flowing through my veins and that's making me think more wins than that.  But, I'm trying my best to think logically and think somewhere during the season we are going to lose 3 games.

If we win the next two games as decisively as we won the non-con, my wife might need to ban red fluids in the house.

Man some posters need to up the confidence a bit.  Wisconsin has looked straight garbage, iowa looks like a lesser version of the squad they have been and they weren't world beaters prior.  Purdue just got f'n shellacked, UCLA is meh.

People giving too much credit to USC beating an LSU squad that looks like a 8-4 team at best.

WE'RE WINNING 10 GAMES BABBYYYYY.  Ohio state and some random a$$ slip up- assuming raiola stays healthy we're winning 10
