Heretic Husker
I say 2 UCLA and Wisconsin - Bueller? Quote Link to comment

presidentjlh
Well we’re at 5 games, but I stand by 7-5 like I said after the Illinois game. 2 Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
After 4 games we’ll have 3 wins and be 3-1, this I predict. Also, we’ve played 5 games already. 1 1 1 2 Quote Link to comment

I say we get 2 more at least to go bowling, maybe 3. High water mark that would leave me very impressed is 4, for 8-4. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
USC seems like a very winnable game right now. Quote Link to comment

Nebraska's inability to play a full game makes me wonder if they really have a chance in that game. For the post at hand, I think Nebraska should beat UCLA. Other than that, Nebraska is going to be the inferior team on the field. I had Nebraska at 6-6 before the season, but it's really looking like 5-7. Quote Link to comment

I mean ... USC was down 21-10 at halftime. So their ability to play a full game would seem to be in question as well. 1 Quote Link to comment

Unfortunately we must play football with the understanding that portions of our special teams is a flat out liability. Quote Link to comment

Yes, Nebraska's ability to bounce back in games is legendary and is not at all psychologically hanging over the program. I should, based on overwhelming evidence, trust them to win close games against teams that are more talented than them based on their tremendous track record of doing so. 1 Quote Link to comment

Maybe in a one on one sport, like wrestling or swimming. But players don't think about this stuff. It is not 4th and 2 and the dudes in the NU huddle are thinking "Oh my gosh, last time we got stuffed on 4th and 2, it might happen again, what should we do" It is fun to talk about and it is a fun excuse, but it is not real. 1 2 Quote Link to comment

I don't totally disagree, but I do think there have been collective meltdowns where it seemed like everybody knew Nebraska was actively collapsing and would lose the game. I distinctly remember Nebraska beating Iowa soundly until they blocked a punt, and immediately everybody knew they were going to lose the game despite having the lead. There are many, many instances of this. Surely, after missing the FG late against Illinois, you felt like it was obvious Nebraska was going to lose the game. Especially in OT. That doesn't mean it's as bad as it was in the Frost era, but you can tell by how Rhule talks about it -- he doesn't want the dark cloud of collapse seeping into the team. Quote Link to comment

Ohhhh, you are talking about the fans! Yes, I agree! Most fans LOVE to be miserable first and happy second. Quote Link to comment
