The issue of getting down to 105 makes the bowl practices very interesting.  I'm sure there will be a bunch that leave right after the season and before the bowl practices.  But, for the ones that are still here, OK, who really wants it?  Who wants to prove they are the ones the staff should keep?  Might be harder than normal bowl practices.

Question:  Does the 105 include non-scholarship walkons?  In other words, we cannot have 'blocking dummies'  - no more chances of a Rudy for example.    Every team has to be at 105 regardless of how the 'student athlete' is being 'paid' - scholarship, NIL, or self paying.  Is that correct?

That's my understanding. 105 regardless of how they are on the team.

As @lo country said, I believe that is a hard cap.  Rhule and others had floated questions about having some sort of NFL-style practice squad where you could bring guys up in case of injuries but I've seen nothing official to indicate that is even being considered.
