You guys see this? SC changing QBs

Supposedly more mobile...probably why they're changing.  73 rushes for 277 yards last year.  But he's a transfer and his experience is against lesser competition while at UNLV.

Don’t know why we are still worried about “lesser” competition.

Rourke played at Ohio, Ward was an FCS QB, Paiva played at NMSU, and Brosmer played at NH and playing well for Minnesota.

Maiava has decent freshmen stats, and has probably improved under Riley.

If you had said “This is something!” I would’ve believed you.

Allow me, as the outsider here, to throw a little optimism into this thread.

Miller Moss was  a local kid (his mother was a professor at U$C)...He was highly touted in high school.  He graduated HS early to get to U$C...and waited patiently for his turn.  He was the backup QB for three seasons, throwing less than 100 passes.  He was well-liked by most of his teammates.

But Riley is under incredible heat right now.  More trojies want him fired than Huskers want Rhule gone.  He's desperate.  Rumors here are that he's looking for an NFL OC job.  There is a lot of dissention on the team.

Since Moss was really a first year starter, he got a lot of the practice reps.  Riley feels a little safer making the switch now since he has two weeks with the bye to get Maiva ready.  But, however mobile Maiva may be and whatever his stats at UNLV, this is NOT going to be a smoothly running offensive machine.  PRESSURE the kid and you've got a good chance he'll make a few bad mistakes.  This is a team that has fumbled 11 times and lost 9 interceptions in nine games...with a QB everyone is accustomed to playing with.

Despite lofty expectations for the trojies, this is NOT a good team.  And this will not be an offense at mid-season form.

THIS is the best chance for bowl eligibility.  I hope Dylan will have recovered and be okay by game time.  There are a lot of Nebraskans here in SoCal--hopefully you get a good representation in the Coliseum crowd.

We'll be rooting for the Huskers!!!

Appreciate the insight.

1 up you on Ward.  He was a 0 star Qb who played Qb on a High school team that ran the wishbone offense lol.

Bruin Steve, I’ll be at the rose bowl next year for the ucla game. Went back in 2012 and had a blast.

I’ve got tix to usc game and I agree, I think we’ll actually have more fans- Cali got a huge husker alumni crowd and I’m confident we’ll show, despite the product the last few weeks

hope you enjoyed the Nebraska experience!
