That would explain why the cop stops him, and points toward the visitor's tunnel. Looks like Raiola says, "I'm Nebraska." The cop comes to understand who he coaches for, shakes Raiola's hand, and pats him on the shoulder. Raiola doesn't look upset. 1 1 Quote Link to comment

Shouldn’t coach security detail know who their coaches are? I watched it unfold from the stands and it looked worse than just a case of mistaken identity. My initial thought in the moment was that the cop was overreacting to some sort of perceived gesture or taunting , but who knows maybe someone in the media will get clarification. That could be what happened, too. It'll be interesting to see if anyone talks about it. Quote Link to comment
Decoy73
Well here it is. A "forced" apology with no explanation given other than the bogus "misunderstanding." The UW was a d!(k and out of line for chasing down anyone in that situation even if it wasn''t a NU coach. For what? words exchanged? hurt feelings? His job is to protect the UW head coach from threats. How in God's name did a cop with that temperament make lieutenant? https://omaha.com/sports/huskers/football/wisconsin-football-nebraska-postgame-fickell-raiola-rabach-police/article_46854220-4655-5667-a8b3-eb02711439db.html 1 Quote Link to comment
