admo
Thought a list of teams similar to Huskers would be interesting at a glance for a slight/possible match-up. Current list of every team (without B1G representation) Teams that are 7-4 that could finish 7-5 with a loss Teams that are 6-5 that could finish 7-5 or 6-6 Teams that are 5-6 that could finish 6-6 Teams currently 7-4...... Pitt GA Southern Connecticut TX Christian GA Tech Buffalo West Kentucky Colorado State Louisiana State (LSU) TX Tech Baylor Louisville Bowling Grn Miami OH Toledo Arkansas State E Carolina Teams currently 6-5.... Florida S Florida TX State San Jose St Oklahoma N Carolina Boston Col California Nor Illinois Vanderbilt Fresno St S Alabama Arkansas UTX San Anton W Virginia App State Teams currently 5-6 - need to win one more game NC State W Michigan Kansas Coastal Caro Auburn UNT North TX UL Monroe E Michigan New Mexico Vir Tech Cincinnati Oregon St Virginia It's also possible they (B1G) recommend we play an 8 win team or a big name team (G4) in that list. I don't think the Huskers will play a bowl game against South Alabam or Toledo. I can see us going up against any of the Big 12 teams or SEC (LSU, Arkansas, Vandy, OU, Florida). 2 Quote Link to comment

Micheal
The Citrus Bowl in Orlando would be my pick if I had it. Lots to do down there for a family, good weather, and is a recognizable bowl name. 1 Quote Link to comment

Nebraska will be in a bowl a rung above our record. Better to look at 8-3/9-2 teams. Although someone could pick an Oklahoma match up. 1 1 1 Quote Link to comment
Trevor22
Big Ten Bowl Ties, Affiliations https://collegefootballnews.com/predictions/college-football-bowl-ties-affiliations-for-each-conference-2024-2025 Consider it a mortal lock that the Big Ten champion is in the College Football Playoff, and almost certainly with one of the top four spots with a bye. The Big Ten alternates with the SEC between the Las Vegas Bowl and Duke's Mayo Bowl. Last season Northwestern beat Utah in the Las Vegas, so assume the Big Ten will be in the Duke's Mayo. One other twist: the former Pac-12 teams - Oregon, UCLA, USC, Washington - will remain eligible for the former Pac-12 bowl ties and affiliations. That means if any of those four aren't in the College Football Playoff, they'll be eligible for the Alamo, Independence, Holiday, LA, Las Vegas, and Sun bowls, before any Big 10 Bowls. - Cheez-It Citrus Bowl vs SEC - ReliaQuest Bowl vs SEC - Duke's Mayo Bowl vs ACC - Music City Bowl vs SEC - Pinstripe Bowl vs ACC - Guaranteed Rate Bowl vs Big 12 - GameAbove Sports Bowl vs MAC 5-7 records to fill the remaining spots, selected based on APR (Academic Progress Rate). Northwestern, 4-7 Cincinnati, 5-6 Wisconsin, 5-6 Air Force, 4-7 Wake Forest, 4-7 Auburn, 5-6 Virginia, 5-6 NC State, 5-6 Utah, 4-7 (tie) Quote Link to comment
GretnaHusker14
I have a friend in Nashville who knows people on the Music City Bowl Committee that say we are their top pick from the Big Ten, Makes sense for them monetarily because we travel so well. Hope its Nashville! Quote Link to comment

Hope its Nashville! We're going to be every bowl's top B1G pick likely, if they're allowed to pick us. That's why we will likely be facing an 8 or 9 win team. 3 1 Quote Link to comment

Caven
Iowa/Nebraska is for an invite to Tampa (assuming B10 gets 4 into the playoffs). Illinois will get the citrus and then the winner of iowa/Nebraska will get Tampa since neither of us has been there in a while. Nebraska won't fall below nashville and that was a really fun bowl to go to. Lots of stuff to do. 1 Quote Link to comment

Always something going on. I love being able to listen to live music at 2 pm on a Tuesday. 1 Quote Link to comment

It's not going to be the warmest though. 1 Quote Link to comment
