Micheal
Dana went away from what was working on the ground. Move the ball, get a few first downs on the ground, then start passing?? 2 Quote Link to comment
hskrpwr13
Two full years of the Rhule era and the Frost era stupidity continues. -Missed passes -Dropped pass at worst time -Botch FG snap -Botched punt return that nobody had to touch -Unbelievable missed tackle at terrible time against the worst possible player 1 Quote Link to comment

Might’ve been the difference. The reverse to Nelson on 2nd down was his worst call in these three games. That play call killed a good drive. 1 Quote Link to comment
Jason Sitoke
God bless the folks who travel with this team. I honestly don’t know how they do it. Walking out of frigid a$$ Kinnick getting heckled by drunken townies who didn’t expect to win until a few seconds before. 4 Quote Link to comment
CheeseHusker
Special teams matter. Again and again and again. Special teams ALWAYS matters. I've been watching some old Osborne era games.... and I realized something. Our kickers in the early 80s were not great, and that cost us in some big games. There was an Oklahoma loss where we missed three FGs, and in the '84 Orange Bowl, we also missed three FGs. The lore of such games has overshadowed these things. Ed Foley needs to be put on a bus. Until that happens and we keep losing games like this, the stink of Frost will never go away. Also, the officiating. Yes, it sucks. I think the fumble at the end was probably correct, but that is beside the point here - Don't leave the outcome of a game in the hands of an official. Don't fumble the ball. Don't fumble it when fielding a punt and give the other team a short field. Don't fumble the ball in your own territory in the last minute of a tied game. Just don't effing do it. 1 1 Quote Link to comment

Red Five
At some point the players have to make plays. Long snapper need to not roll the ball back to Bushcini IGC needs to catch the damn punt 2 guys have the RB wrapped up need to bring him down Neyor needs to catch the damn ball Bemhart needs to not throw a “lookout”block 1 2 3 Quote Link to comment

If Fidone blocks one of the two guys he whiffed on, that's a positive gain. It wasn't a bad play call. It was bad execution by a Senior. A Senior who got benched for most of last game for yet another bone-headed play. 1 2 Quote Link to comment

I’m guessing teams that gain 165 yards and only have 5 first downs have something like 1 win and 200 losses all time. 1 Quote Link to comment
PaulCrewe
You had a sense that the last play with the DR fumble was destined to be terrible just leading up to it. Slow to get relined up after getting the 1st and then wasted another 10 seconds before snapping it. I mean you had a TO right before the play to get the first, you reiterate to get to the line and spike it or call the next play as well as the play to get the first. Things like that have been going on the last two years and drive me up the wall. There are so many ways to run an offense with limited timeouts and NU can't seem to figure out how 2 Quote Link to comment
chamrocck
My gloves are off. There is only one team in the country that loses a game like that, Nebraska. Rhule, ST was killing us all year and you never addressed it. No excuse. Foley should have been gone weeks ago. We have no explosive playmakers on either side of the ball. So the defense must play a perfect game to win and can’t. The ability to miss 6 tackles on a game changing play is pathetic. Honeymoon is over Dana. WTF was that? Should have won this game easily by double digits. Raiola, you’re on the hot seat buddy. I want a leader to will the team to victory. Too soft, slow,, can’t escape for easy first downs, throw s#!tty passes that float forever. Fumble in the most critical time in the game. Like what the hell are you doing out there? I’m giving this staff one year to flip this roster and get absolute dawgs, tough minded SOB’s in here, that will do everything to win. Build the OL. We don’t have star QBs, RBs, or WRs because we don’t have star OL, it’s that simple stupid. We have the softest, most mentally fragile team in the country. Raiola did not change this, he’s of the same mold. I don’t see the fire to win in him and it sucks. Sucks to say, but Deion was right. Players win games and we don’t have them. 3 1 1 1 Quote Link to comment
lo country
Rhule is mentally soft. Poor clock management. No sense of urgency. And it shows. Played again to not lose. And we lost. Dana called a s#!t 2nd half. Went away from what was working. If you won't commit to the run, we won't win here. One long run from Johnson broke this team. ONE. LONG. RUN......And in that last drive we stopped running. DR has no internal clock. He is not a fast blinker. He ran well enough to be serviceable. If there was ever a game for HH to get more snaps and run some option, this was it. Goal line shouldn't be the only place for the skinwalker package. Midfield, 4th and 2? WTF not. The 105 man roster will be a blessing. We are not wining anything with walkons starting. Especially in the age of the portal and NIL. Losing faith in Rhule. Staff needs and overhaul. Rhule can give his awesome sound bytes, just be the CEO. We need an infusion of talent. We are missing dudes. Game changers. ST's cost us yet another game. I asked last week and this , why was ICG even back there. Why was Carter Nelson trying to run a sweep with the game on the line. Dude hasn't played in weeks. We have no identity, save cracking. And teams know it. Keep it close and NU will beat themselves... 1 Quote Link to comment

We weren’t looking for merely positive gains. We were getting chunks off tackle and cut backs. 1 Quote Link to comment
