runningblind
I learned it is possible to win more games than you lose in a year, which is wild. Who knew? 3 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/103797-pinstripe-bowl2024-what-did-we-learn/

Popular Post knapplc
Even when we win, some Nebraska fans will find things to complain about. We need a few people who post here to get therapy more than we need a portal LT in 2025. 2 3 13 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/103797-pinstripe-bowl2024-what-did-we-learn/#findComment-2706116

I love Fidone and I'm glad he's a Husker. He's a good dude. But the criticism he's received has been well earned. He's whiffed on a LOT of blocks this year, ending plays that had potential way too many times. 8 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/103797-pinstripe-bowl2024-what-did-we-learn/#findComment-2706121
deedsker
How did Foley not get fired before the end of the year? Johnson and Johnson need a law firm after football. 4 3 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/103797-pinstripe-bowl2024-what-did-we-learn/#findComment-2706124

Fidone hate may be overstated by most but I’ll also bring up the fact that he was totally misused most of the year. Some of the little bubble passes to the flat or behind him were downright perplexing. That being said…he’s probably our 3rd best TE. 4 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/103797-pinstripe-bowl2024-what-did-we-learn/#findComment-2706125

gossamorharpy
1. We finished above .500. This was the main goal back in August. It might’ve been uglier and more frustrating than it should’ve been, but the boys got it done 2. Hopeful a full offseason under Dana’s coaching raiola can clean up some of the mental gaps in his game. Too many unneccessarily lofted balls throughout the season, missed guys and questionable decisions of throwing into coverage that will not fly in year 2 3. this defense will sorely miss the presence and mass that Nash and Ty bring to the table. Confident linebackers will take a step up with the increase in athleticism of the younger guys; secondary should be solid. But we really need to get a mass monster in the portal 4. f’n find a new ST coach. 2 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/103797-pinstripe-bowl2024-what-did-we-learn/#findComment-2706127
default_28
I was impressed by the teams ability to put together a drive when the momentum had shifted. In the past I think that they would have wilted and lost this game 21-20. Their ability to make the plays when they needed to gives me hope for the future. 2 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/103797-pinstripe-bowl2024-what-did-we-learn/#findComment-2706128

The biggest issue is his body is too banged up. The blocks he missed were mostly mobility issues. It sucks for him, because he looked like a sure-fire talent out of high school. But the reality is what it is. 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/103797-pinstripe-bowl2024-what-did-we-learn/#findComment-2706129

chamrocck
Great win but we gotta close teams out, we are way more talented than BC and should have stomped on them. Our poor ST almost lost us this game. Foley needs to be dismissed/not brought back and we need to make ST a primary focus as it can take us from good to great, 6 or 7 wins to 8 or 9. It’s worth 2+ games. Rhule needs to understand this! The defense looks a lot of the same. Bend don’t break. Some good, Shavers and McGahee and Ty and Nash but lots of missed tackles and not getting home with pressure. Secondary is shaky. Butler has his work cut out for him. Raiola played a lot like he did most of the year with some good and bad. Needs to improve to make the next jump to get to elite and take us to like 9 wins. RJ was needed to win this game. I thought EJ would play much more aggressively and run with a chip, didn’t see that. Of course we need EJ but we another reliable back or two. GBR! 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/103797-pinstripe-bowl2024-what-did-we-learn/#findComment-2706131
