Ok, we are down to 4 teams in the college playoff.   Which team do you want to win and which team do you think will actually win it???

Bonus - Will Nebraska get into the playoffs during the DR era - next 3 years?

Me:   I want Norte Dame to win it.   Why?    Because:

1.  I don't want OSU and PSU to get any stronger in our conference.

2.  I hate Texas  :hookerhorns

3.  My brother is a big ND fan - so out of preference for him, I'll go wt ND.  I tire of the ND hype on NBC and their sacred independence.

My Dad would watch the ND game reruns on Sunday morning TV before church as only a good Catholic should.  I got so tired of ND.

Also, it has been a long time since ND has won the NC - it would please Rudy :D

Who do I think will win it?    OSU - they found the ignition switch.  Texas won't stand a chance.    I think ND does beat PSU.   Maybe a Rudy watching binge may

help ND against OSU but I doubt it.  IF OSU keeps playing at this level, they should win out without issue IMHO.

Nebraska in the playoffs within the next 3 years?    I got to think by the time DR is a senior, we'll make it as the I think the playoff will be 16 teams by then.  We got some

heavy lifting in our conference just to be considered.   Portal and recruiting are critical for us during the next 2 years to get enough 'Joes" to compete at the top of the conference.

If we don't make it, it could be a clue as to the direction of the Rhule era.

I think I'm in the same boat here, ND for the natty! They beat big,bad Georgia with some of the weakest stats I've ever seen. ND outcoached and players never blinked.

1. OSU and PSU in the playoff is great for the Big10. OSU kicked it up a gear and avenged their loss, but I also don't want them to get stronger.

2. I don't hate Texas as much as others, but ASU played them well even with a bunch of mistakes, UT played a solid game, and nearly lost. The Huskers are better than ASU, yeah I said it. ASU was lucky, but they put it all together and played with heart and were coached well all season. Absolutely the Huskers will be in the playoffs.

3. OSU does look like the best team, but I will cheer for the Irish.

I'm very confident the Huskers will make the playoffs within the next 2 yrs. They need to study the two OSU/OU games and understand what it  takes to dominate a team after a close loss. Gabriel is a far superior QB than Howard, but tried to play the same game and OSU changed their plan.

So yeah, I think Dana will be here the full 2 yrs, year 1 of the Rhule ere was a wash with the QB situation, and Raiola will take a huge step. As soon as we get a new ST coach.........yada yada yada

Texas. Nope don’t like them.
Hate Penn state

ND Should have to play some sort of a conference championship type game or schedule 13 games.
Ohio state is the choice bc they are big ten and it is not like winning will elevate them. They already have a pro roster. How much better can they get. Shoot Jamison Williams couldn’t start there, transfers to bama and wins the biletnikoff. They are loaded year in and year out.

Honestly, I look at that list and feel nothing.

It's a matter of which team I dislike slightly more and even that gives no real rooting interest. For some reason I don't default to Big 10 loyalty. Just don't feel it myself. Being Nebraska-centric, I suppose it looks best if we played eventual NC Ohio State down to the wire.

I do hope they're good games.

First and foremost I want a B1G team. After that I say PSU only because it further entrenches James Franklin and if Rhule turns things around we will have to worry less about PSU opening up.

Good observation about Franklin.  If I have to pick a B1G team - it would be PSU.  I liked it when they were our cross-division rival years ago as we played some good close games with them.   I'm tired of 'THE' Ohio State hubris.

I'm hopeful PSU wins because they're the least irritating to me out of that bunch, but I think it will be tOSU in the end. They're hot at the right time and have so far played the best out of all the CFP contenders.

I can't in good conscience root for Notre Dame or Tex-(vomits).

Sorry, have trouble typing that word.

Regardless of who wins, it'll be hilarious to think of any of the remaining four coaches as possible natty winners.

I've stated that I seriously want Texas to lose to OSU and not be in the championship.  We would have two Northern teams.  Glorious!!!  And, I seriously dislike Texas.

So, I want OSU in the championship game. I'm fairly neutral between PSU and ND.  I guess I would pick PSU just so the NC is in conference, but I mostly don't care on that between those two.

So, I slightly want PSU to win.

I expect OSU to win.

An OSU vs PSU championship game would send SEC fans over the edge.

Now this :yeahI can get behind.  Would love to hear the comments from  that SEC homer ESPN 'journalist'  Finebaum if this were to occur.  Total melt down.

  • Oh Yeah! 1

This year’s Notre Dame team is who I am pulling for.  They don’t feel like a villain anymore.  No drama from what I can see.  Their coach, star QB, star RB, and star defender all seem like good dudes.  And that they came back from a humiliating defeat to go so far is impressive.

Likable coach, QB, etc...  but they are still the villain.  They are too good to join a conference and that alone makes me root against them vs virtually anyone not named Colorado.
