Huskers Sports Radio Network and Playfly Sports are hiring a Director of Broadcasting to be the next "Voice of the Huskers".
 
Role Includes...
- Lead play by play voice of Nebraska Football
- Lead play by play voice of Nebraska Baseball
- Host coaches TV and Radio Shows
- Co-Host Nightly Talk Show - "Sports Nightly"
 
Requirments:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of play-by-play experience at the NCAA Division I and/or professional sports level preferred.
- Prior sports broadcasting experience
- Knowledge of the business components of the role
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with production and content creation equipment and services.
- Ability to travel to all away games for football and baseball and other athletic department and university sports radio network events.

That's just code for "we are going to expect you to get far more done than should be reasonably expected" because this should really be two jobs and not one.

Why not? He is the play-by-play for Omaha mbb, pretty good at it IMO, plus he has experience in other places, he was announcer for FGU dunk city run. He has done other sports as well, including baseball which is in this job description, so I am sure he could do football. Not to mention he has great chemistry with DB AND Handley. The downside be losing him on 1620.

I’m sure he’s not.  I would guess his goals are much greater than “voice of the Huskers”.  And he is on a good trajectory for that.

 

My comment was mostly tongue in cheek since folks were just throwing out some names.
