glaserjo
Witt does not play for a particularly good team. Beck's stats from his senior year were not that great either. They will not pull his scholly but will definitely keep pursuing solid qb prospects. That position on the field is too vital not to. Quote Link to comment
chamrocck
If this guy has 3 years to play then yes we should go after him. Like glaserjo said, QB is too vital and we must have not only a great starting QB but good to great back-ups as well to help us get back to the top. Quote Link to comment

HSKRNOKC
Just a little of me wonders if they are doing this just to stop ou from getting him? Quote Link to comment
husker rob
well if he is as good as his stats in JC are, then go ahead and get him in here and make the compition really heat up for the starting job Quote Link to comment
Spartness
According to Crabtree on 1620 yesterday, NU is in the mix. He said nothing about OU leading. So is appears we have as good of a chance as anyone right now. Â As for not needing another QB, Hildebrand, according to Eric, hasn't looked that good. We don't know if Witt will be the guy in 2008 anymore than when Beck came into town and turned out to be a bust. As of right now, it's probably Ganz's to lose in 2008. He seems like one of those who by his fifth year in the system will be a solid (not great) and effective QB. With the experience we have had with juco Zac Taylor, I would say absolutely go after this guy. Â Does Lee have four years to play three? A redshirt year would likely make him a better player. husker rob
does anybody know if he was highly recruited out of high school and if so why did he go the JC route. was it grades and will it be hard to get him qualified? Quote Link to comment
BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
Lee is the son of former NFL quarterback Bob Lee of the Vikings and Falcons. He attended St. Ignatius of San Francisco which played in the West Catholic Athletic League. It looks like he put up some pretty good numbers while being a 3 time all-league QB such as a 18 of 21 for 361 yards and five touchdowns performance while upsetting a higher ranked team. It does appear he graduated in 2005 (same year as Mark Sanchez and Marlon Lucky). Trying to find out why he took the year off from football. Quote Link to comment
chamrocck
Some info. here http://nebraska.rivals.com/content.asp?CID...p;PT=4&PR=2 Â This guy just seems like he could be a darkhorse and vie for the job after Keller. If he comes in and learns next year and then has 3 years to play, then that would be a great situation. Still don't know how many years he is eligible for...let's keep an eye on him. gamecocks
If he has three to play three or four to play three, then lets bring him in. Other wise, he is probally not worth the scholarship. Quote Link to comment
DJR313
This could end up being a huge pick up to add to the QB depth. A heady QB with an accurate arm. Always, a welcome addition. Quote Link to comment

Spartness
That would be huge if he has four years to play three. Perhaps Callahan and company can convince him how valuable that redshirt year would be and how it would make him a better QB. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
If he has 3 years to play I say pick him up!!!! It's better to have someone who has proven themselves in JUCO and know that he is such a good player than have a back-up QB that hasn't looked good and have him tank our offense. Look at our success with Taylor........ Quote Link to comment
BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
Any one catch the first half of the Mizzou-OU game when Musberger was rambling on about how many receiving weapons OU will have returning next year and a QB would be walking into a great situation. Then he said "Any JUCO All-Americans out there should call Coach Stoops collect." Quote Link to comment
