chuckd
Why does everyone think he is going to Iowa? He has stated that he likes NU over Iowa, do you guys think he is lying? Also, the reports of Petito "not liking Callahan" are blown way out of proportion. I think Fisher is just weighing all his options, but in the end, I expect him to be N. Link to comment
CowboyBob
is making Sean Fisher a tight end a possibility or out of the question entirely? jeez, I just talk about this kid like we've already got him. Link to comment
huskerfan500
I have seen him play since a kid, he is not big enough for our tight ends plus he can't catch that good but then he would fit in good Link to comment
Alex 4.0
have been reading that we are solidly in front.... Also have read in a couple places he might be pulling the trigger very soon. Stay tuned. Link to comment
Always a husker
Oklahoma has now offered him. Link to comment
HSKRNOKC
That changes EVERYTHING. Has has sounded like he is very hi on ou and was waiting for the offer. Link to comment
Spartness
Until I hear him say himself that OU is his top school, I will assume NU is where he wants to go. It's very difficult to steal in-state players, especially those who NU really wants. I know Miami got one away from us, but was NU really trying that hard to get Gunn? Link to comment
Spartness
So if Callahan and company are recruiting this kid hard, the odds have to be in our favor, until we hear something different from the kid himself. Link to comment
SouthDakotaHusker
I don't know. I am concerned about his 40 time for an OLB or safety. If he was an inside linebacker or defensive end prospect, I would not be as concerned. As we have seen time and again in blowout Bowl games, Speed kills on defense. Link to comment
Spartness
Posted 40-yard times can be inaccurate or misleading. Is this hand-held or electronic? If OU offered, this kid is probably a lot faster than a 4.8 hand-held time. Link to comment
BigWillie
Daniel Bullocks came in running in the 4.8 range. By the time he was running at the combine for the NFL Draft he was in the 4.3 range. Major Culbert ran in the 4.7's. Wouldn't question his speed either. Really, 40 times are some of the most useless ways to gauge people. How many times do you see people running in shorts, t-shirts, on a straight line? Something like a 20 yard shuttle and 3 cone drill to see the change of direction speed and hip action of a player is a MUCH better way of judging a football player. Link to comment
OKCHusker
I don't know. I am concerned about his 40 time for an OLB or safety. If he was an inside linebacker or defensive end prospect, I would not be as concerned. As we have seen time and again in blowout Bowl games, Speed kills on defense. Stewart Bradley is pretty slow and he was good as we all know. I think his 40 time is about the same as fishers Link to comment
huskers1
Also I thought I read something, maybe not even on here, that he ran that forty more than a year ago. Now he is running in the 4.6 range. Link to comment
Alex 4.0
if you check the earlier posts, that time is inaccurate. He ran that one when he was nursing a leg injury of some sort. 4.6 is probably closer to the real time. Link to comment
HSKRNOKC
Im starting to get a better feeling here because he didnt snap at ou s offer. That and I have heard that he has a bond with a certain coach. Link to comment
