REDSTEEL
Notre Dame didn't just fire their AD. Their season is sucking (or, rather, they are "rebuilding" ) but Weiss is safe and the situation is, at the least, stable. That's not what we have here. It hurts to lose Gray, it really does. But all the same, I hope he tears it up at ND. They need him more than we do, and if it makes him happy...well, anyway, the Domers REALLY need a running back right now. Best of luck. If he starts next year like he did this year he'll probably be fired mid season. Quote Link to comment

Ohio Pete
Notre Dame tailback Jonas Gray latest with hamstring issueShare | We've heard of teams pulling together, but not quite like this. Another hamstring issue has hit the Notre Dame depth chart, as sophomore tailback Jonas Gray suffered a muscle pull or strain or tweak during practice Wednesday, an Irish spokesman confirmed. The exact extent of the injury isn't known, spokesman Brian Hardin said in an email, and it probably won't be available or revealed until Thursday. It's the second hamstring issue to, well, hamstring the Irish in a week, with cornerback Darrin Walls already hobbled by a "tweak" suffered Sunday. The good news, at least from Notre Dame's perspective, is that Gray's injury is much like Walls' -- it occurs to a player in a position group with substantial depth. Armando Allen is the solid No. 1 starter and Gray was merely in the mix to compete for backup carries with Robert Hughes. Quote Link to comment
