Lebron James

Great shot at the buzzer! :clap

KOBE BRYANT is the best player in the NBA the last 5 years including this year - the media and the opposing fans just hate him. He still gets the MVP chants at home and on the road. Even though the Lakers wouldn't have won the title with out shaq he was a cancer on the team. There's a reason he wants to come back but it aint gonna happen. You don't call out the guy that signs your checks.

I am not quite sure why you think that but Shaq definitely doesnt want to come back to LA with Kobe and how was he the cancer of that team? But you are right he is unfairly hated by the fans and some media. I will admit Kobe is great but he does not have the physicality, speed, or overall athleticism that Lebron has.

But Kobe DOES have the clutch factor (Lebron has it too but Kobe's is way more influential), the knowledge of the game, and the SKILL (very different than athleticism) that all trump Lebron.

With that being said, why do people harp on Kobe for winning titles with Shaq and not having it done yet with less talent? None of the greats have EVER won a championship without good talent across the board on their team. Especially not Michael.

Because the media & most fans HATE Kobe. Opposing fans are so stupid when they chant Kobe Sucks and when they boo him when he touches the ball. He LOVES it when they do that.

Without Shaq, Kobe has zero rings. And if they don't win this year, the Lakers window with Kobe has shut.

You sure know basketball, the Lakers average age is 26 and Kobe has about 7 good years left. He's only 30 years old. Realistically this will be the second of a 4-5 year run being in the finals. Jerry Buss the owner already said he will go over the salary cap to bring in players next year if needed.

Without Pippen and Rodman, Jordan has zero rings. Without Kareem and Worthy, Magic has zero rings. Without Robinson, Parker and Ginobli, Duncan has zero rings. Without Garnett and Allen, Pierce has zero rings. Without Shaq, Wade has zero rings. Without Hamilton and Wallace, Billups has zero rings.

What exactly is your point?

The Lakers are way too dependent on Lamar Odom, who only plays hard when he feels like it. That is their biggest problem. I am not the biggest fan of Kobe but he is the only guy who can go put his team on his back, get his 45 and win.

My point is basketball is a team game, and your argument about Wade and Kobe had one thing in common, Shaq. That guy was the reason that the Lakers were dominant in the early part of the decade.

You really don't know basketball - The Lakers are way too dependent on Kobe Bryant, They need Lamar Odom, Gasol, Bynum and other players to step up to help Kobe. I also stated in an earlier post that the Lakers wouldn't have won the titles without shaq and the reasons he is a cancer. Your hate for Kobe clouds your judgement.

The difference between Lebron and Jordan is that Jordan has a college education and 6 rings and Lebron just has money.....I bet if Jordan went into the league at 18 he'd have more rings than just 6. The reason Lebron scores so many points is because he's the only good player on the Cavs and he's proved that last night when they last Game 6. Lebron was shooting terrible and only scored 4 pts in the 4th quarter and it hurt the Cavs and they never could get the lead under 12 pts in the second half. When Lebron has terrible games the Cavs suffer and it showed in Game 6. If it wasn't for Lebron's 3 pointer in game 2, the Magic would've swept the Cav's and Lebron tried that same 3 point shot in game 4 and missed.

Jordan would still score 30+ points but there were other great players that surrounded Jordan like Scottie Pippen, Steve Kerr, John Paxton, BJ Armstrong, Horace Grant, Dennis Rodman, Ron Harper, Toni Kukoc who would score points as well. The Bulls didn't always rely on Jordan because they had other good talent where else the Cavs rely on Lebron to help them when the game. There would be times where Jordan couldn't score a whole lot of points and they'd still win because of the type of players that played for the Bulls.

God I can't stand the Kobe vs Lebron finals matchup hype and blah blah blah give me a break, I'm so glad the Magic beat the Cavs. The reason why the Cavs are so good is because of Lebron I'll admit that. I remember being in Vegas and while walking back to my room I was in the Hooters Casino lobby and on the TV was the Finals. In the 4th quarter Lebron score like 15+ ponts in a row to help them win the game and I remember thinking that he's a ball hog and he's their only good player.

Lebron will never be as good as Jordan and never will be. Jordan is the reason I stopped watching basketball once he left and Lebron is the reason I won't go back to watching basketball. I don't hate him as a person I just hate all hype that surrounds him and most of his commercials.

Your pretty much spot on except for the comment that jordan would have had more rings if he would have turned pro at 18 - WRONG - He only played 2 years of college ball anyway but all jordan fans seem to forget that he didn't when anything until the Lakers, celtics and pistons got old and if Magic and Byron Scott don't get hurt in 91 the Lakers probally would have beat the bulls - The Lakers won game 1 that year. The bulls won their titles when the superstars were retired.

Jordan went to NC for three years not two years. But whoever said the Lakers are too dependent on Odom is spot on. The lakers are relying way to much on Odom which isn't a good thing because the way his back is acting up. They need to give the ball to Gasul and Bynum before Odom becauseid they depend on him the way they did in game 6 Odom will be gone and then Kobe will really need to step up.

Odom doesn't even start - The ball does go to Gasul and Bynum before Odom even has a chance to get on the court. If his back is acting up it hasn't affected his play the last 2 games, he's not giving that as an excuse. I live in LA and read what's going on the Lakers want Odom to score 20 because they always win when he does. Oh yea where the f**k is lebron now? On vacation bitch's!!!!

Any of you ACE'S want to re-evaluate your opinion on Kobe Bryant?

I will stick to my opinion as well and say LeBron is the best player. He has certainly has proven it as well.

Off topic but did anyone see the S.I. where the 16 year old baseball player and people were saying he would be the LeBron James of baseball. He can hit the ball 570 ft and pitch it 96 mph.
