melscott62
You would think there is a greater than a 90 percent chance that USC will offer. Our team's performance last week didn't help. Oh well. If I was recruiting for USC I wouldnt. you get the pick of the litter, why would you want a Juco? unless the have trouble getting a DE this year I would highly doubt they would offer Quote Link to comment
BigWillie
Just glancing over USC's roster, but they have 6 DE's listed. Only one is listed as a freshman or sophmore. The rest are juniors and seniors. So legitimately, Kuli could go in and play opposite of Kyle Moore and Everson Griffen from day 1. Quote Link to comment
BigRedfxtoy
Per Scouts, this guy is sceduled to visit tomorrow for the Ball state game?? We'll see what happens. Quote Link to comment

Adding him would only make their roster more top heavy in terms of class. What they need is young players with three or four years to play and ideally a rs since the upper classmen have the position tied down for the near future. Quote Link to comment
huskerguy
Uhh we need talent on defense... we aren't USC we need to get the best we can get. Quote Link to comment

You do not want to bring in any lineman and expect them play a large number of downs from day 1. Essentially, that is what you would be doing right now by going to USC as a true freshman. The only type of lineman (offensive or defensive) that are physically ready are the freaks of nature like Kris O'Dowd and Andre Smith. Those types don't come along too often. It really falls under a situation like ours back in '05 when we recruited Taylor and Beck. You don't want a freshman QB to come in and start from day 1 (very few are ready to), so you recruit a plug to basically hold the position over while the younger guy matures into his body, getting some snaps in blowout type situations. Recruiting Kuli and a few other stud DE's would be smart for USC, and it seems that is what they are contemplating doing right now. Quote Link to comment

zoogs
Does that mean USC offered? Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
it can't be good. Quote Link to comment
HuskerMan
Edit: Nevermind now I see it. Lets hope its a good thing for us but I think it has a better chance of being bad unfortunately. Quote Link to comment
HuskerKing130
Kuli is still coming to visit for the Texas A&M game according to scouts. If NU has a good showing & beats A&M, what are the chances that he commits on the spot? Quote Link to comment
TrueHuskerFan
Forget about this guy, I'd put our chances at 1% right now. Trust me. Quote Link to comment
