2 Central Texas 4A Gems

Recommended Posts

Darius Darks and Chase Harper are both Dave Campbells' Texas Football top 5 at their positions at DB and TE. Darks (6'1" 175, 4.5) has been on varisty since his freshman year and has been all district two straight years as a DB/WR/QB starter. He has great instincts and has been on two state semifinals teams in football (04 & 05) and a final four team in basketball in 06. He also was on the state finals 400 meter relay team.

Chase Harper is a 6'4" 225 DE/TE that runs a 4.6. He was all-district at DE/TE and has lettered since his sophmore year. He led the basketball team to the final four, where they just lost out to state power Dallas SOC. Harper was named all-tournament. The Pflugerville Connally Cougars are going to run the spread this season, so Harper will be split out, but he has been an excellent blocking and receiving TE for the former power I team. Both of these young men have great grades and are very good athletes at the top level here in Texas. They are quality players that could add depth to areas where the Huskers are lacking in the secondary and at TE.
