The Long Awaited....

Recommended Posts

OK....I'll start the questions....

Cody Glenn not even listed? He must not be up to speed yet.....

I also like that we now have 'H-backs' instead of Tight Ends.

Glenn not there is REALLY surprising. He's either nowhere near 100%, wasn't going hard in camp, or getting a redshirt.

Castille looked like a mutha in any clips I've seen, though :box and you've got to love what we've heard about Helu. :w00t Let's hope they can pick up the blocking fast to protect Sam.

Nice to see Niles Paul mutiple times on the chart, too... He could very well inch up the chart later on.

As soon as I saw the depth chart I raced right here!! I wanted to catch all of the "Why is Grixby starting instead of Jones!?!?!?"

Murillo must be the real deal.

Jones was a JUCO stop gap plug-in. He stepped in when we needed him last year but Grix is still a better corner. I bet when Bowman is fully healthy Grix becomes the nickel over Jones as well.

Glenn not even on the chart is weird to me?

Wow, I can't wait until game day!!!

Jim Rome is just starting an interview with Mac Brown on the internet radio station I'm listening to. Lets see what that guy has to say. Later.

what internet radio station are you listening to that is streaming jim rome?? I didn't think radio stations could stream him because he sells his show online already.

Yeah pony up that information. Jim Rome is one guy who actually supports Nebraska. I love listening to that guy

I'm in the Rome camp, too. A little SoCal bias, but knowledgable and entertaining. He should Frank Caliendo on his show too....

Its KKFN 950 "The Fan" in Denver. I live in Denver so its my local sports radio

http://www.am950thefan.com/home/main.html

You have to sign up to be a "fan insider" to stream but its free and is the typical info on line harvesting

The local guys are Buffs fans of course, and a guy in the afternoon- Joe Williams- just hates the Huskers. The ridiculous things he says run from comical (pathetic, jealous) to infuriating.

Can someone copy and paste the depth chart because I can't get the link to work??? <_<

Not sure why the quote is happening.

Rome is talking about Ne- USC match up. I think there is a bunch of email exchnage going on right now.

He's pumping up the huskers and their fans, saying we are more genuine and not as shallow as LA people.

Also, saying we can talk trash with the best of them.

Now, maybe something about the game?

**yawn** this guy just DOES NOT get it. oh well. i'll let Grix prove it on the field.

Looks pretty nice. Kind of surprised to see that Prince or the likings didn't get in on any punt or kick returns. I will have to say out of the whole list the two that I'm most wanting to see play are Asante and Castille as they have been two of the newcomers that seem to be carrying the most hype.

Not bashing ,just asking opinion.

Does everyone feel comfortable with Grix going up against everyones #1 receiver?

Is the safety help that much better?

Not flaming, just looking for opinion.

yes i am. technique, experience, and knowledge of the game can overcome height disadvantages. a 40 inch vertical helps too.

and it isnt ALL because the safety play will be better this year, we have more than 2 corners that we can put on the field this season. Let Grix and Murillo get a breath every once in a while, which did not happen last year. When you are running against every team's entire receiving corps all day long, your performance will decrease.

After all the running Jones and Grix did last year, i wouldnt be surprised to see them in a marathon after football. Their endurance must be phenomenal.

Now that we have depth at Corner, and more experience, we will be able to blitz a bit more and put pressure on the QB. the only drawback is if our blitzers and d-line doesnt get penetration, our corners will be on an island all alone, such as it was all year last year.
