chamrocck
Player: Laron Byrd Hometown: Boutte, LA Position: WR Height: 6'4" Weight: 205 lbs. 40 time: 4.46 Visit Date: Scholarships offered: Nebraska, Colorado, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Arkansas, West Virginia, Miami, Michigan, Minnesota, LSU, Tulane Favorites: Rankings/Stars: Rivals: Big Red Report: Assessing the talent: Physical WR with good size and speed. Good ability to take ball from defenders with height, leaping, and ball concentration. Very solid prospect. Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 20% Has interest in LSU but as far as I can tell they have not offered him. If he does not get an LSU offer, I expect it to be wide open for this talented WR. I'd like to see us out recruit these teams in the south. Potential to be a go to target at NU (i.e. Mo Purify). Quote Link to comment
zoogs
Let's see, fast, tall, good weight, and not a juco (am I right? I can't really tell)...could be a huge offensive get for us. Sounds like it would be LSU's to lose, and sounds like they'd be crazy not to offer...it's amazing he's only three stars with all those offers right now. Quote Link to comment
HSKRNOKC
Exactly what we are looking for! Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Nice size and intangibles. Looks like he would be a good get. How are his grades??? Quote Link to comment
chamrocck
Bad news for us...LSU has now offered him. Need to look at the depth charts. LSU may be loaded at WR so maybe he would like the chance to play with us much earlier? This kid projects to be a good one and not sure if he will visit. We need another key WR recruit in this class. HuskerRob
it appears that another louisiana WR, kheiry (spelling?) cooper is taking a harder look at nebraska with BO comin to town. we need some big, fast, sure handed WR's. but then again, doesnt everybody? Quote Link to comment

I definately agree there. That is how I tell if a kid is a big prospect or not. I hope he likes Nebraska, but it's definately going to be cold. Quote Link to comment
SkersNblackshirts
I hope Bo can pull this one off. He got good speed for being that big. Quote Link to comment
ironmike
Look at that offer list... Wowza! to me, that says more than anything..... this kid HAS to be a solid prospect. If Bo can reel in a kid like this that is so highly sought after, he gets instant credibility as a good recruiter. Quote Link to comment
