HUSKER 37 Posted February 23, 2020 Share Posted February 23, 2020 Rundgren: Well I don't practice any formal sort of religion but, in that sense, I'm very comfortable with a lot of Buddhist philosophy mostly because it doesn't dwell on questions about the personality of the creator as so many religions do. Original sin to me was Man's self-awareness and as soon as he became aware of himself he did so as relative to all other things and it wasn't good enough for man to just be one of those things-he had to be the most important thing and that's why the personality of God was invented. So when people ask me if I'm an atheist I say no, I just don't think we can understand the nature of what's at the bottom of all existence. It doesn't hurt us to think about it but when you become absolutely sure that you know, you're about as far away as you can possibly get. Quote Link to comment
