hskerholic
Instead of going after Shepard we need to go after the guy who took out three players down field blocking with one hit!if is one the very first play. Quote Link to comment
DeathCultArmaggedon
Apparently, Texas offered Shepard as a non-QB recruit. As such, he is open to considering other schools. Texas A&M has offered him as a QB, and he likes their coaches. Quote Link to comment
huskernation20
Hey keep in mind that some guys have the want and needs to venture out of Texas! I just hope this kid is one of the many we will get for 2009!!!! GBR Quote Link to comment
huskernumerouno
I won't hold my breath but it would be nice to snag this kid. Quote Link to comment
Overland Park Husker
Highlight video I love how they put the arrow on him to show where he is. If you don't know where the QB is on the field, then you're a moron. Quote Link to comment

BigWillie
Texas royally goofed this one. You give me the choice between Shepard and Gilbert -- I'd take Shepard EVERY single time. Kid literally has Mike Vick like FOOTBALL skills. Quote Link to comment
Nexus
Interesting development with Russell Shepard this week. If you follow his twitter feed, he's apparently unhappy with his current situation at LSU. Anyway, here are a few of his latest tweets: Thanks for your support Tiger Nation...but I have to do what's best for my family and myself...Geaux Tigers But out of those 14 catches I still had 4 touchdowns you guys trying to talk down on me gives me more reason to leave.. I Can't believe this Me having 14 catches for only 190 yards this year is not my fault people...I only #dropped 4 balls all year...So who fault is it now? LINK Then there is this article from USA Today talking about his desire to play QB at LSU. I remember last year ESPN recruitniks were saying that Jamal Turner reminded them of Russell Shepard. I agree with this when you compare their high school highlight reels. I just hope Turner gets more opportunities to touch the ball in his career here at NU, whether as a WR or QB. That USA Today article had me thinking this could apply to Jamal Turner in the near future. Quote Link to comment
